Taddeo is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME and has just gotten better and better with time! We are obsessed with the fleece of this herdsire who was a RESERVE CHAMPION in white at 9 months, 15 months, and 21 months, and is also a halter COLOR CHAMPION and MAPACA Fleece JUDGES' CHOICE winner! Taddeo's fleece is GORGEOUS with great density, exquisite architecture, small bundles, and a buttery, soft hand that I can't stop touching and looking at nightly! "Taddeo" means "praised" and "desired" and he does his moniker proud. Taddeo's first cria, Morning SKY's Taddeo's Piccolo, is square, incredibly dense, and has volumes of bright white fleece with teeny, tiny bundles that earned her a 2nd place at the 2016 Buckeye Alpaca Show, standing over the cria of a high ticket herdsire. His subsequent crias are also beauties - and female! Morning SKY's Elena placed 3rd at the 2016 AOA National Show. This handsome male is sired by multiple Champion, Alpaca Palace's Houdini, and his dam, Morning SKY's Grande Alera, is a multiple ribbon winner by Grand Alero, a 3/4 Accoyo Grand Master son. The combination of these genetics is what gives Taddeo such tremendous density, consistent and exceptional fleece character from topknot to tail to toe, soft handle and strong conformation. Taddeo was awarded his FIRST RESERVE CHAMPION banner at 9 months of age and his SECOND RESERVE banner at the 2012 MABA Alpaca Celebration in another large class! (Color went to a 6 year old male.) This male has fineness, density, a buttery handle to his fleece and gorgeous crimp. A THIRD RESERVE CHAMPION banner was awarded to Taddeo at the 2013 Buckeye Alpaca Show, along with WINNING the JUNIOR HERDSIRE class where the three judges called his fleece "gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!" COLOR CHAMPION at the 2013 PAOBA Breeder's Showcase; we are thrilled! Judge Kevin O'Leary examined Taddeo's fleece everywhere from front to back, clear down to his belly and down to his knees and found the outstanding character to be the same all the way across and down along with great density and fineness. He is a white to be watched (and an outstanding breeding choice if you are looking for excellence.) JUDGES' CHOICE in the large 2013 MAPACA fleece show for Best Brightness; his dam, Alera, won the same award in 2007! Taddeo also placed 1st in his large halter class at the 2013 MAPACA Jubilee. Taddeo also garnered a 2nd place ribbon at the 2015 AOA National Fleece Conference with his third fleece. Taddeo's offspring have great density and his buttery hand. Pin him to your "Herdsires to Use" Pinterest board and contact Morning SKY Farm to book a breeding!

Dam: Morning SKY's Mint's Sweet Thing

Dam of Our First Taddeo Offspring!

Morning SKY's Mint's Sweet Thing

HuacayaOpen (Female)White
AOA# 30864528DOB: 10/14/200816 yrs
Morning Sky's Sweet Thing is the first born of our lovely award winning female, Silvercloud Farm's Danielle, and multiple award winner and El Nino son, ScF Mint D'Or. "Sweetie" has the stunning, typey Accoyo head of her sire, the exact fleece characteristics of her dam, and the excellent conformation of both. She carries volumes of lofty, bright fleece, and has great staple length. She also has Danielle's calm temperament, is very inquisitive, and easily handled. Sweetie's notable pedigree includes such influential alpacas as: Caligula 3P Sunipani Bueno 5P Inca's Ransom Magnum Gold El Nino Evander and PCA Santolina, who was known for carrying her fineness to an advanced age - a trait which is obviously being continued on by Danielle and Sweetie. Sweetie gave birth to her first cria in the spring of 2011 - Morning Sky's Delaware (named for one of the Indian tribes that formerly populated Mercer County, in which we live) - a white male by Chieftain. Del is conformationally correct, has fleece with a VERY soft handle and lovely architecture, and a beautiful head that made him the "pretty boy" of that spring's crias. Sweetie's second cria is the first for our multi-Champion herdsire, Morning SKY's Taddeo, and it is a beautiful white female. Morning SKY's Piccolo has square conformation, incredibly dense and very bright fleece with tiny little bundles. At her first show at 1.5 years of age, she placed second, standing above the offspring of a well known, high dollar herdsire. It is only because she has blue eyes that Sweetie has never been shown (although she's so nice that Bob really wanted to). With a careful choice of herdsire matches, she will be an asset to any breeding program that is focusing on fine fleece.

Description

Piccolo is the first offspring of our homegrown Color Champion, 3x Reserve Champion and MAPACA Fleece Show Judges' Choice for Best Brightness herdsire, Morning SKY's Taddeo, and what a first offspring she is! When Piccolo was born, she was bright, shiny and delicate looking - thus her appropriate Italian name. Like that of both her sire and her dam, Morning SKY's Mint's Sweet Thing, Piccolo has extremely dense fleece, and it is bright, uniform, organized and beautiful, accompanied by a sweet temperament. And when we say that she comes from density, note that her sire sheared 9.2# of fleece in 2016! During Piccolo's first and only show experience, 2016 Buckeye Alpaca Show judge Sharon Loner awarded her 2nd place in her class and highly praised her fleece characteristics that earned her that honor and placement just above the offspring of a high ticket male. With her fleece characteristics and qualities, Piccolo will be an asset to any breeding program.
