Crescent Moon's Borromeo

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Light Brown
AOA# 32156294DOB: 7/21/201113 yrs
We thank our friends Scott, Debbie and Rachel at Crescent Moon Ranch for letting us get our hands on this very special stud male. Borromeo is an impressive male that resulted from the combination of two great gray genetic lines. He was sired by Snowmass Enlightenment, a gray male with perfect confirmation and magnificent fleece. Borromeo's dam is Crescent Moon's Patsy, the daughter of the deceased ATV ADONNIS. His 2012 histogram had an impressive AFD of 17.2. Borromeo has excellent conformation with a solid square body on sturdy legs. He has a dense fleece producing an excellent blanket. His classic Tuxedo head with a "Hercule Poirot" brown mustache makes him extremely unique. As he ages he has that lingering fineness that is so important in a stud. The product of two rose grey parents, Borromeo won blue ribbons in both the brown and gray classes for Crescent Moon. But he didn't stop there!! Borromeo took Reserve Color Champion at the 2015 Railsplitter Alpaca Show. Judge Jill MacLeod called him "one chill dude" and she was right! Borromeo's relaxed air has made him a farm favorite. His first cria (IPRA Galileo) is on the ground and was recently sold. Contact us today to add his fantastic color genetics and fiber quality to your herd!

PRA were excited to add Safehouse Olga Borodina to our breeding stock. Olga is a powerhouse of fine fleece genetics. Her sire, Snowmass Royal Destiny XX is a beige son of Snowmass MATRIX, and the grandson of the great sire Snowmass Quechua. Her dam is Emily Rose a full Peruvian of a rare Accoyo line. Olga herself is a medium fawn well proportioned female on a solid frame. She has excellent coverage with a dense fine fleece. We're not the only one's who are fans of Olga; judges like her too. She won a first at the Illinois Alpaca Show in 2013 Her first histogram had an AFD of 16.3 with a staple length of 95 mm! Olga has produced two adorable male cria for us, IPRA Tycho Suave and IPRA Galileo! Contact us today to add this proven producer to your herd.

Description

IPRA Galileo was the first cria on the ground from our own Crescent Moon's Borromeo and Safehouse Olga Borodino. Like many members of our herd, he came into this world in a dramatic fashion. He was born at 5am on a Sunday morning in the middle of a huge electrical storm complete with massive amounts of thunder and lightening. (it was really fun being in a metal barn keeping an eye on Olga during the storm!) Galileo is one of those cria that is just full of personality. He literally bounds around the dry lot and loves being the center of attention. Galileo won ribbons at his first two shows, including one blue ribbon, an incredible feat since he was being shown with his cria tips still attached. At MOPACA, Judge Robin Nasemann said he had the finest fleece in his class with good uniformity and a soft hand. At the Wisconsin Alpaca and Fiber Fest, Judge Amanda VanDenBosch said he had a nice consistency across his blanket, good handle and brightness.
