His sire, the LEGENDARY Snowmass MATRIX, has fiber with the highest curve of Quechua Genetics. His maternal side is PACKED with color. Snowmass Amber Waves, Highland Amber's Dam, is one of Snowmass' Champion Dark Rose Grey females with both solid and Rose genetic lineage. Snowmass Highland Amber's has three stunning cria on the ground. The first is a beautiful true black female True Black Dam and the second a True Black Male from a True Black Dam. In summer 2016, Amber added a tuxedo grey boy (IPRA Graceful Highland Thistle) to his list of offspring. Amber stayed busy through the breeding season here at IPRA and we're expecting FOUR fantastic cria from him in 2017. Amazing Gracie!

IPRA Grazioso Fiorellino

HuacayaOpen (Female)Medium Silver Grey
AOA# 32731118DOB: 7/8/201212 yrs
IPRA Grazioso Fiorellino ("Graceful Little Flower"; Gracie for short) will always have a special place in our heart. She was the first cria born to our farm, even before the farm was finished! Gracie is the 2012 daughter of All American Futurity Champion of 2010 and 2011, Jeremiah's Quattrain. Quattrain is the rare rose grey son of Majestic Peruvian Jeremiah who won 2008 Light and Dark Herdsire of the Year, 2009 Light Herdsire of the Year and 2010 Dark Herdsire of the Year! Her dam, Accalia’s Bella is a tall, statuesque bay black alpaca with an impressive lineage as well. Her sire was Joseppi Peruvian Surefire and her mother was a true black whose pedigree includes Camilio, Leon, and Legacy De Bolivia. Gracie is true to her lineage, with dense medium silver grey fleece with great crimp. Her first histogram revealed a Standard fiber diameter of 20.5 with a spin fineness of 20.1! In October of 2013, she took first in her class and went on to take the Reserve Color Champion! Gracie is personality plus and always a ham for the camera. When she sees a camera, she runs up to the gate so you can be sure to take her picture! Gracie has now retired from the show ring to join our breeding stock. She was bred in July 2015 to our own Snowmass Highland Amber. Gracie gave birth to a wonderful tuxedo grey on 7/20/16 that was named Thistle who is now at another farm!

Description

IPRA's Graceful Highland Thistle is the first cria out of our very first cria, IPRA Grazioso Fiorellina. As you can imagine we've been not so patiently waiting for this little guy. He showed up around 11am on 7/20/16 and boy is he something! He is the spitting image of his banner winning dam and is a fearless little dynamo. He spents most of his days running around chest bumping his pasture mates. Even our alpha female, Sonora, isn't safe from Thistle's rambunctious energy. We're quite pleased with how Thistle did in the ring during his first 3 shows in Spring 2017. Judge Amanda VanDenBosch said he had "Nice confirmation and good structure. Good crimp and staple. Carries that down the side and into rear well. Nice brightness." Thistle continues to mature nicely and we're quite happy with how his fleece is coming in.
