Snowmass Apotheosis

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Dark Brown
AOA# 32124484DOB: 9/29/201014 yrs
Snowmass Apotheosis is the gorgeous 8-time Champion and Get of Sire winning son of Snowmass Matrix Majesty - the 2013 and 2014 Dark Herdsire of the Year. He is a beautiful dark brown male with perfect conformation and extremely fine fleece that carries density, uniformity, brightness and amazing coverage. As the grandson of Snowmass Matrix and Snowmass Legacy Gold, his lineage is stacked with names like Snowmass Quechua, Snowmass Accoyocusani, 4Peruvian Legacy, 5Peruvian Chaccu and PPPeruvian Augusto, and it shows. Snowmass Apotheosis has had several crops of crias born here at Foggy Bottom, and to say that he has been impactful in our breeding program, would be a gross understatement. His offspring are stunning. They are exhibiting the amazing fleece characteristics that the Quechua line has become known for: the combination of elite fineness and uniformity throughout while sacrificing nothing in density.

ELK Fantasy Lady

HuacayaOpen (Female)Medium Fawn
AOA# 31134705DOB: 11/13/200717 yrs
ELK Fantasy Lady is the daughter of Double "O" Good Herdsire Hall of Fame male, ELK Hercules. Like her father she has his regal presence and stature. She has excellent conformation and bite. Her blanket is dense, but admittedly lacking in crimp and bundling at this age. If you are looking for a solid foundation female, look no further. She has truely been a great mother, feeding her cria well (she could be a dairy cow) and passing on her calm demeanor and good fleece density. Lady is a fading medium to dark fawn with grey coloration on her muzzle. She has a tendency to throw the color of the sire. She should be bred for fineness and increased staple length. Lady had a dark fawn female with white underbelly "Mirage," June 3, 2017, by 3/4 Accoyo Heatwave, making the baby 3/8 Accoyo, 3/4 Peruvian. Density, architecture and length of the fleece looks awesome. Mirage was placed in the "brown females" group for the Wisconsin Alpaca & Fiber Fest and took 4th - not too shabby. Not as much staple length and density as those above her. June 24, 2018, again Lady did not disappoint. Another girl, we named "Fantasma". This one, a dusty medium fawn with no white. She is Soft Shinook's first offspring - and we will definately be using him again this year. Royal Fawn was know for extreme brightness and shine and it seems to have come through to this great-grandaughter. June 23, 2019 - another girl! By Shinook again. But this little one is a fading light fawn, with white on her face. Long staple length and growing well (50 pounds at 4 months, 70 at 6 months), nice crimp to the fleece but lacking in density. The light fawn doesn't hold the shine like on darker Fantasma.

RobAsia's Campion

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Fawn
AOA# 35453918DOB: 5/31/20177 yrs
Campion is a cross of RobAsia's two best sires, Superstar and Albus. Sire is none other than RobAsia's Albus, seven time champion, and seven firsts for Get of Sire. Albus is a game changer. He stamps out his phenotype & fleece characteristics on his progeny - and Campion is no exception. We expect Campion to do the same. Campion gets his color from his dam, Condelezza, a daughter of Invincible's Brookhollow Superstar, a multi-champion in his own right. Campion is a fleece machine. Long stapled, fine, uniform in micron, bright, and exceptionally dense. Look at those EPD stats. He is a compact male with stocky build and perfect conformation. 2021 fleece still looking amazing. 23.2 AFD, 4.1 SD. He makes beautiful babies, in all colors. Watch for a white juvie and a medium fawn juvie at 2025 Nationals. BREEDING SPECIAL: $500 for a drive-by. $1000 on the farm for 60 days.

Description

Cocoa is beautiful dark brown (almost reddish) with black points, with gorgeous phenotype and coverage from head to toe. She is large, square, and very upright. A bit high strung (doesn't like the LGDs). Her sire, Snowmass Apotheosis, is a son of Snowmass Matrix Majesty (Futurity Herdsire of the Year 2013 and 2014) and a grandson of Snowmass Matrix. Cocoa's lineage also has PPPeruvian Kenamori Gold. Great foundation dam - bloodlines, wide, relaxed, calm to handle. Like to carry hay around in her mouth. Cocoa was bred to JLFA Millenium's Ventura at Oak Lawn Alpacas in 2019 and the result in 2020 was Vocachino, a beige girl (with five brown spots)! Vinnie produces amazing things, and this little girl is no exception. But wonder where the appy came from. Cocoa was bred to a Matrix Belvedere son for her 2022 cria. The result was a light fawn boy who has Matrix on the ARI twice. Definitely a keeper. He did well at the 2023 Wisconsin shows (WisAFF and GMAF) standing in the middle of the ribbons against farms like Irish Meadows, Majestic Meadows, and Tiskilwa Farm. Cocoa lost her 2023 cria due to a dystocia. Cocoa is bred to RobAsia's Campion again for a May 2025 cria.
