Alpaca Palace's King Richard

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)White
AOA# 35110507DOB: 8/28/201410 yrs
We went out in search of a superior white male whose genetics were rare in the West. A male who would be an outcross and add hybrid vigor with the introduction of his genetics. After looking at hundreds of possibilities (many good choices), along with our partners Norm and Sandra Johnson, we purchased Alpaca Palace's King Richard at 6 months of age (a bit risky, we know - but look at his cria picture and you'll see the appeal is obvious). Turns out, we hit the jackpot and are very pleased with how he has grown up and what he has produced and consistently keeps producing. Still holding a dense, fine fleece, at 6 years old, Ricky took FIRST PLACE AT A0A 2020 NATIONAL FLEECE SHOW in the mature white male class. He remains very fine, very dense, and uniform. He also took first place at the 2020 ABR fleece show. Ricky has sired several crias and we are happy to report that they all are looking great, with exceptional fleeces and strong frames, superior bone density, balance, and THE LOOK. Nice. Ricky's genetics include: Troubadour (AOBA white male champion) Maree Love, Hemingway, Legacy, Rolex, Archangel, El Nino, Citation (13x champion), Elite, and more. These genetics are well known, but rarely all in the same package..that's where Ricky's genetic punch comes from. With Ricky, we are looking to produce not only show winners, but solid seed stock that is healthy and vigorous Ricky;s EPDs reflect this blend of genetics. He is in the top 2.6% of alpacas tested (27,000 + alpacas) in AFD (average fiber diameter) and the top 1.58 % in % > 30 AFD. This speaks to his genetic potential to pass on fine, uniform fleece. Update: At nearly 6 years old and as a breeding male, Ricky’s AFD is 21.0, SD: 4.0. CV: 19, and CF: 97%. Very fine and uniform. Ricky took a first at the National fleece show - mature male - with his 6th fleece. Ricky resides at Chimera Ranch (Norm and Sandra Johnson) in Bennet, Colorado along with several of his cria. Go take a look. You'll be glad you did. Questions? Call Dundee Farm at 303 663-3822. or Chimera Ranch at 623 910-9897

Dam: Moonshadow's Symphony

Moonshadow's Symphony

HuacayaOpen (Female)Medium Brown
AOA# 32084658DOB: 10/9/201014 yrs
Symphony has earned a strong place in the breeding line for Pleasant Journey Alpacas. She has proven to be a great dam by giving us PJA Golden Victory's Kiowa and her 2014 cria is Rhapsody. We liked what we saw in Kiowa and chose to rebreed Symphony to the same sire and are even more thrilled with Rhapsody! So, the choice for 2015 was Golden Sentry (1/2 brother to Golden Victory). 9/26/15- Symphony delivered a very handsome and strong male sired by Golden Sentry. This cria is sporting a wonderful crimpy light fawn fleece and great bone! 10/5/2016 - Symphony did it again! She delivered a strapping handsome bay black male sired by our own NeverSummer's Manchester! Symphony is a large boned, wide chested girl with beautiful medium brown fleece. Great crimp and awesome density which is coming from her great grandsire Poseidon Symphony sells open and no breeding guarantees.
