Our homegrown Nautilus son has been rated in the EPD's Top 1% for not only Fineness but SD.at 4 years old! Want to talk about lingering fineness? Want to talk about lingering fineness AND super density in the same alpaca? Here is our secret tightly held home grown superfine Nautilus son out of Accoyo America Elegance a full accoyo Endurance daughter/Caligula granddaughter. He's well built on a strong stout frame, medium sized with a perfect bite. Elegance was one of the finest full accoyo females I have ever seen, and we won many blues with her in halter and fleece. Elegance sadly passed away when Renaissance was 3 months old, and we have kept her son safely on our farm. Needless to say he was a little slow growing, between being orphaned and putting all his energy into a very fine, extremely long staple. We will not be showing him in halter due to the fact we can't replace these genetics. Even with all that stress I found no stress breaks in his fleece. We found our boys a bit on the "well fed" side in 2012 so we will be adjusting our feeding schedule accordingly. We are so impressed with Renaissance we bred two more females to his sire! Nautilus delivered again for us-a very fine white male out of our Bueno daughter(SOLD), and a crimpy solid dark fawn female out of our award winning brown female Sweet Temptation. We think so much of Renaissance sister Temptress that we bred her to Snowmass Matrix and now have their two sons, Magic and Mystic Sun. We were sorry we let Renaissance's daughter out of Champagne Gold go so he is bred to Champagne again this year. She delivered a totally awesome male so we repeated the breeding for the third time. I have only kept one Renaissance daughter Lilikoi. Although we don’t use him much, we love his offspring we don't have many unrelaated females to breed him to. We will reserve 2 breedings

Tempest's Peruvian Sweet Temptation

HuacayaOpen (Female)Medium Brown
AOA# 31202114DOB: 7/27/200816 yrs
Temptation is a HERITAGE STUD FEMALE and Dam to the best offspring we have ever produced-two beautiful females Heritage Peruvian Temptress and Conopa's Andean Moondancer XX and a True Black Running Late son named Black Ice . It was devastating when he passed away on his first birrthday of bladder stones. She is still gorgeous at 11 years old Our very first Zion granddaughter this incredibly lovely red-brown female did quite well in the showring for us under stiff competition. We are thrilled to be able to breed her to PCA Hemingway's Nautilus who we believe is Hemingway's best son, hoping for a colored offspring of either sex. 9/16/11 we got just what we ordered from this breeding-TEMPTRESS-a dark fawn female, very crimpy, with density off the charts but a very fine fleece and no medulation, a carbon copy of her dam only a bit lighter. Temptress is already following in her dam's footsteps in the showring in 2012. I am so confident in her quality at birth that we opted to breed her to SNOWMASS MATRIX twice, keeping both offspring and Temptress is now bred to Jacob Black son Carbon Copy We then kept Temptation open for the right opportunity so we snapped up a breeding to Snowmass Conopa before he went into quarantine for Canada and becomes unavailable in the USA! 7/7/2013 another spectacular girl Moondancer this one beige with fleece to rival her sister but denser. As soon as she dried off we knew we had another TRIPLE WOW!! Moondancer went straight to our foundation herd after an excellent show career. 9/18/15 Another girl! Brilliant white this time she was up and nursing in 20 minutes. She weighed in at 20lb with tree trunk legs and solid body. Her fleece is going to be super dense with excellent character and fineness. Her name is Sweet Serenity-SOLD to Sopris Alpacas Temptation will be rebred to PC Running Late hoping for another black! 2019 A stylish white girl and the first girl from this match named Fashionably Late. We'll try again for color this year. This is the 5th time we have made this match. Rebred to Running Late she delivered a dark brown male with a few tiny black spots. We will see how he develops. Tess is rebred to Snowmass Lovers Legacy hoping for color One of the smartest and gentlest alpacas, she is one of my favorites- A girl this year like her brother All That Jazz, she will retire here on our farm.

Description

Serenity is a lovely Nautilus granddaughter by way of our herdsire Renaissance. Very Very dense with good fineness I think she will follow in the footsteps of her great grandsire Caligula son Accoyo America Zion who is in the TOP 5 in the EPD program for density for the fifth year in a row. Her Dam is Sweet Temptation, a rich red-brown whose sire was black so lots of color potential here. Temptation is also the dam of two of our best females, Nautilus daughter Temptress and Snowmass Conopa daughter Moondancer! Perfect bite and conformation with outstanding dense bone structure.(Mom's bite is also perfect but she is actually licking her new cria in this picture) What are we thinking to sell this girl? We are running out of space and expecting 20 cria this year so we must sell some we would like to keep, and we already have 2 of her sisters in our foundation herd. No breeding is offered at this price, But we would offer a half price breeding to any of our males-I would suggest PC Running Late or a line breed to Matrix Magic. Buyer is responsible for registration and tranport expenses. THIS is the female you want-Best Buy on our sales list!
