Sold - Congratulations to Nancy Chapel of Alpaca Country Estates! Ike's advanced Judge's Choice fleece, which scored 87 points - puts him in a very very small class of elite classic gray herd sires. And, in halter, he was awarded Color Champion at arguably the toughest halter show in the country, the Futurity. Judged to be superior in quality, by senior judges, in both halter and fleece shows. In showing, This is the mark of an elite male. And, in terms of Production - he's already produced National Champions in both Black and Gray. Please see his fleece score card pictured here. Scores such as these are rarely awarded to alpacas of any color. His first Three shearings have each won at least one championship - proving lasting quality. Ike started settling girls when he was just 21 months old, he is a pleasure to manage as a sire. I fell in love with Ike at first sight (and feel), at the 2013 Futurity, when he was 7 months old. Thank you to Gary Henderson of Keva Ranch Alpacas, for producing Ike, and allowing him to join us here at Delphi! At 8 months of age - YM's laserscan = 13.9 / 2.8 / 20.0 / 0.4% >30 At 20 months of age: 5-16-14: AFD 16.31 / SD 3.44 / CV 21.1 / 100% CF At 32 months of age: 5-24-15: AFD 20.5 / SD 4.2 / CV 20.7 / CF 97.3% At 44 months: 5-23-16: AFD 22.5 / SD 4.6 / CV 20.6 / CF 93.2% / curve 59.8 He's definitely the total package.

Visit Ike's Web Site!

Ike is closed to outside breedings. Crias shown in the 'all of Ike's kids' picture posted here, include All of Ike's kids born to Delphi girls thru Jan 2019 at Delphi, except two that left with their mom's as little babies. His production consistency is unmatched. :^)

Look at all 3 of her crimpy black and grey / harlequin daughters! This foundation girl is an exceptional producer. ~ Strong black and grey color genetics ~ 2nd place of 6 in her only showing ~ 7/8 Peruvian. ~ Correct conformation. ~ Soft, dense feeling fleece with high frequency crimp still present. ~ Strong and healthy with lots of milk for her babies - all girls! Her first daughter was a stunning Harlequin grey daughter, (sold). Her second daughter Bodacia, (sold) is listed below - Her pictures tell the story - another beauty! She has now produced her 3rd cria (6/25/16) - another Stunning Baby Girl! A GORGEOUS dense, soft, fine, crimpy, typey, black girl - shiny bright bright bright - and did we say soft? We are over the moon. :^) Rose's histogram done on 4/23/14 (just over 4 years of age) = AFD 23.3, SD 4.2, CV 18.2, >30 = 5.3%. In 2015 (5 years of age) = AFD 24.2, SD 5.1, CV 20.8, CF 91.2%. Histogram at 6 years, 5-23-16: AFD 25.37, SD 4.57, CV 18.03, CF 87.8 We really appreciate the uniformity and lasting fineness this girl exhibits. Rose's pedigree is very intriguing, with a Snowmass Sire, and a champion dam from Peruvian Silverado, it isn't hard to see where she gets her quality from. And for those of you who are counting, she's 7/8 Peruvian. Rose herself was awarded a second place ribbon in a competitive yearling halter class at 13 months of age, this was her only showing. Rose is currently bred . Let us know how Rose could best fit into your program.

Description

2017 AOA National Fleece - Reserve Champion black female. 2018 AOA National Fleece - Color Champion black female! Shown twice in halter here, Risa was awarded a 6th place ribbon at the 2017 Nationals at just over 6 months of age. The competition was extreme, as was her behavior, lol. Then 7 weeks later, Peter Kennedy, (renowned breeder of blacks himself), awarded her the BLUE in another tough class of 7 at GWAS, which included several of the girls that had placed above her at Nationals. We think her additional fleece growth, plus some additional halter training, (she is very sweet and smart) allowed her to show her true colors. Peter Loved her fleece, and you can see why. And then after Risa went to her new home with Deb Galway, she brought home a RC in halter as well. She is slick, dense and crimpy - fine - Handle Handle Handle! From 2 classic grey parents - (Check out her dad's page!) almost full Peruvian - Yum! She'll fit into any color program you have - and she has the genetics to improve it. Her name is Risa (think Lisa with an "R"), which means laughter, and she sure puts a smile on our faces. We can't stop feeling her bright bright bright silky fleece. Yeah, I know bright and lustrous are redundant (unless you're a suri breeder, wink!) - but this little one just begs for more adjectives. Beautiful head, perfect bite. She is growing into an absolutely wonderful young lady - She will be a superb producer for a black or grey program. I really want to keep this girl - but I will be so happy for the lucky buyer. SOLD!
