Keona is Tuscan's only cria from 2007. She is an upright, alert, black female with strong black/gray genetics from her Chilean dam's line (4 generations deep in black/gray color). Keona exhibits bright fleece, soft to the hand with very nice crimp formation, uniformity, average density and good staple length. She has an excellent bite, straight legs, and generous top knot. She was about 110 pounds at 15 months of age but too late in the year to breed, so she will be bred in the spring of 2009 to our multichampion herdsire, El Corazon'. This breeding should produce a cria with denser, full body fiber coverage and long staple length. Keona's female line has shown good reproductive charateristics with good milk production to support crias and easy births, traits that should pass to Keona.
