Samson is a proven Breeder. However, he developed a mild case of what we believe was meningeal worm a couple of years ago, and has struggled to breed since then. He courts, catches and gets the female down, but he lacks the strength in his back legs to actually breed. So he is great for spit testing our bred females, but not effective at breeding himself. He could be used in the spit testing capacity or gelded at this point to better maintain his fleece and make him more docile. As for his fleece, he has always shorn a nice, heavy blanket. He has maintained good fineness as he has aged and should remain an excellent fiber producer for several years to come. He was put in the show ring as a jevenile and yearling, and that shows as he is well-behaved on lead.

Great mom!

Precious Ronnie Girl

We bought Ronnie from a local farm whose owners were in poor health. We did it mostly out of compassion, but Ronnie has proved to be an attentive and efficient mom. She gave us a nice little boy out of her first breeding with our Accoyo Samson. We like him so much that we have repeated that breeding. She is bred with Accoyo Samson for a spring 2016 cria. **Update--Gave birth to a baby girl, Mistletoe!** May 2017--Another lovely girl, this time from Snowmass Bronze Dawn! We've named her Tulip.

Description

This yearling girl has BLUE EYES. Interestingly, on farm visits, such as National Alpaca Farm Days, she garnered more interest than anyone because of her uniqueness. We will be glad to issue a free breeding to our medium fawn, full accoyo male once Misty comes of age.
