Congratulations to our friend Annie Hunt of Willow Wind Farm, for acquiring a share of Avatar. Please contact Annie about Avatar breedings. We are thrilled with Avatar's newest creations - including Delphi's Avella - The 2017 National grey female halter Champion at just over 6 months of age. And congratulations to Avella's new owners, Debbie and Dale Hoerl; Alpacas of Moose Creek Ranch! Many more Avatar crias will be arriving in 2018. Avatar has beautiful crimpy, dense, and fine fleece, but what separates him from other outstanding herd sires, is his phenomenal handle - due to both exceptional uniformity, and very bright, low scale fiber. Cameron Holt, AOBA Senior Judge Trainer and world wide fiber expert, gave the following scores to Avatar's fleece: Fineness: 15 out of 15 ; Handle: 5 out of 5 ; Uniformity of micron: 7 out of 8 ; Crimp: 8.5 out of 10 ; Density: 3 out of 5 ; Brightness: 8 out of 10 ; Lack of medullation: 8 out of 10. His daughter Delphi's Lailah won Color Champion Grey Female Fleece at the 2012 Nationals. His son Delphi's Rama won a Blue Ribbon at the 2012 National Fleece Show, (and then brown Color Champion at the Tenessee Waltz Fleece Show). These two Avatar kids insured Delphi's win of the 2012 Classic Cup for fleece, at the 2012 Nationals. Another standout offspring is Kanaka - an 8X Champion with 1% EPD's in both SD and >30; and 2% EPD's in fineness. While we don't participate in the program, we agree Avatar's son Kanaka's EPD stats do reflect his sire's strong suits. Avatar's many other crias now include Six AOBA National Halter or Fleece Champions, several Futurity Champions, and many many many Multi-Champion and Blue Ribbon show winners, in addition to the winners of many Special Awards, such as the Best Brightness award at the National Fleece Show - the first time this award has been awarded to a grey. Please enjoy viewing some of his lovely crias and their fleeces, shown below. Description

***Color Champion Fleece Fallfest*** (24 entries) ***Reserve Champion Halter MOPACA*** This very special Avatar daughter could very possibly do for you, what her mom has done for Delphi. Which is huge. Alice is a daughter of the Queen of Delphi, Amelia Braveheart. Alice is Full sister to : 1) Devamani - Futurity Reserve Champion and AOBA National Color Champion Grey female of 2005. Sold for $34,000 at the 2008 Futurity Sale, mother of National Blue Ribbon true black Delphi's Shavana, and Ark's Multi-Champion grey Dubuque. 2) Ava - 6 time Champion Rose Grey female - currently in Delphi's foundation herd. 3) Ravi - Maroon Blue Ribbon winner and working herd sire for High Peaks Alpacas - AFD 16.3 / SD 2.6 / CV 15.8 / 0.4% >30 at 3 years of age! Ravi is being exported to England to make his mark across the pond! 4) Delia - shockingly soft and too spoiled to sell - currently in Delphi's foundation herd. 5) Riva - dark rose grey weanling - see her at the shows soon! Alice's first baby is here - Cassius has arrived - He is Bay Black and slick, soft & very crimpy. Fine and Dense. We are thrilled - and so is Alice. Alice is the same wonderful dark maroon as her mother Amelia. Alice has excellent conformation and presence, a perfect bite, excellent density, and beautiful crimp. Most notably, Avatar and Amelia have again passed along their superb handle, uniformity, and lack of evident guard hair. We are breeding Alice now to BMF Taos' Zeppelin - you Must see his listing - he has the best bay black fleece we have ever seen or felt. 15.7 at a year 16.9 at two years of age - and the crimpy locks stop traffic. Both are extremely uniform.
