<--ari-->Medium Silver Grey<--color-->Thank you Sharon and Dick Hegeman for allowing us to purchase your wonderful foundation girl, Winter Sky.
I loved her show record, but especially her pedigree - as I have seen many wonderful "Merrill" offspring, and I have been in love with Winter's mom, Zarza, since Zarza visited my farm many years ago for a breeding.
Now Winter can join our foundation girls. She delivered an amazing rose silver Avatar son, Luc, with one of the brightest silkiest fleeces I have seen. We are eager to see him grow up.
Now bred to Ike - we expect great things again.

In 2002 - Mike Safely placed Winter in first place at Estes Park, stating he liked her typey head, conformation, coloring, fleece...in a nutshell, this is what a grey juevenile female is supposed to look like.
And who had Mike just awarded Color Champion grey male?
Winter's new beau, who was also a juvenile at the time, Avatar.
Something tells me that Luc, their son, was just meant to be.

Winter has produced three beautiful cria. One DSG female, one MSG male, and one MSG female. When bred to Jericho's Metallic Creede, Winter produced a gorgeous grey male "Summit", with beautiful fleece, who took a second place ribbon at GWAS 2009, and is now a herdsire at Alpacas of the Forest.
