We would like to congratulate Menagerie Hill Ranch in northern California for their acquisition of half interest in RR GUNS KIT Carson to join in partnership with SkyDance Ranch in Utah. CA Breedings contact Deb Galway [email protected] 707.290.7915 Utah breedings contact Terrylee Severson [email protected] 435.640.2246 His kids still win big in the ring...2016 Gold Country Gathering KC son won RCC behind our own RR Dizzy Gillespie in Grey Male and KC daughter won Color Championship, grey female AND KC son won Black Color Championship (RR Lancelot) KC took his first championship at 8 months of age. Since then, his fleece has maintained its length and fineness and he remains one of the best grey males in the country. If you have a look at his Watt follicle testing results, the reasons will be obvious. The mix of black and white fibers in his grey is homogeneous in micron. He is the only alpaca, male or female, that carries the best characteristics of the Snowmass Peruvian Casanova and Guns n Roses lines. His production has not disappointed with multiple championships among his offspring. His follicle density testing by Ian Watt is outstanding at his sampling at 2 years of age: Density: 57.9mm/mm2 Seconday: Primary fiber ratio: 9.8:1 In-skin primary fiber diameter: 22.3 micron SD 3.2 In-skin secondary fiber micron: 13.7 micron SD 2.5 Comments: "High density coupled with an excellent set of numbers for the secondary fiber population give this male potential as a significant sire in his color group. a group not known for its uniformity within each fiber population. This is a significant animal for silver grey alpacas, where the black fibers tend to be very strong in micron and vary across the staple in most alpacas of this colour" 2010: 17.6/ 3.28/ 18.6/ CF 99.8%/ 90mm 2011: 19.2/ 3.31/ 17.3/ CF 99.3% / 100mm 2012: 21.74/ 4.03/ CF 97.18 / 100mm 2013: 23.02/ 4.07/ 17.66/ CF 95.66 / 100mm 2014: 21.34 / 3.79 /17.77/ CF 98.07/ 90mm 2015: 22.5 /3.96 /17.6/ CF 96.1/ 90mm

SNOWMASS BRAVEHEART'S CHARM

HuacayaBred (Female)Dark Silver Grey
AOA# 31332118DOB: 6/5/200816 yrs
If you are serious about breeding for grey, it is likely that you are familiar with both Snowmass Drambuie's Braveheart and Incan Magic, both of whom spent quality time on the Skinner's stud row. Charms has not only the pedigree, but superfine, super bright with excellent uniformity across her blanket. Her first cria, RR El Greco is a magnificent true black out of our own Snowmass Midnight Sun. For 2012, we took her in a grey direction with RR Gun's Kit Carson, with RR Belladonna a champion grey daughter only to be followed by RR Jasmine, a gorgeous true black full sister. We followed up 2015 with a breeding to RR Arturo. He is off the charts in his analytics both by serial histograms and follicle skin testing and has impressed in the ring and fleece shows. His is a fleece, that even as he matures, invites your hand and won't let it escape. That cria, RR Georgia O'Keefe was all that we could ask for. She is a stunning rose grey with fleece that belies the outstanding metrics of her dad. Charms has had 5 cria 3 true black, 2 tux grey. They have all been quality alpacas with an excellent record of banner acquisitions in competitive shows...and she is expecting another Arturo cria in September. These are lines that you will not find elsewhere in grey breeding programs...

Description

Adagio is taking on an important role in our program. He's a true black out of 2 greys and 1 of 2 Kit Carson's son that we are keeping on our herdsire row. He is conformastionally strong with a very fine fleece that is beautifully structured and organized. Mom's no slouch either. She has dense, uniform fiber and the sustained fineness that made her sire Snowmass Drambuie's Braveheart a major contributor on Snowmass Alpacas stud row. The pedigree is all there, as are the analytics. The boy is setting his sights to work his way into a grey breeding program. He just might be the guy for the astute breeder who stands on the side of grey x grey breeding being associated with "lethal grey". 6/7/2014 Micron Count: 18.87/ 3.92/ 20.79/ 99.17 Adagio was too young to show as a juvie and unfortunately had a tender fleece as a yearling but will show as a 2 year old with a superb handle and uniformity in a long well organized staple. It's easily explained when looking at his follicle testing; Follicle Biopsy: Density: 58.2 S:P 11.6:1 In skin mean P: 26.8. SD 2.9 In skin mean S 22.1 SD 2.8 Are you kidding me? He not only has superior density, especially in black, but both his primary and secondary fiber populations have SD less than 3.0 and an incredible P-S differential of 3.3 microns!!
