PATAGONIA'S ERNESTO: Patagonia’s Ernesto is a magnificent light brown compact herdsire that improves every dam to her fullest potential. Before I purchased Ernesto, I bred numerous females to this dynamic male just to see what he could do. I discovered that I could take an average dam, breed her to Ernesto, and voila, he would produce a stunning offspring. This feat was proven when we had hundreds of the females assessed with their juvenile crias. Time and time again, the cria scored better than the dam so I knew I had something special going on with this male and one way to obtain improvement in the production of our breeding program. In many ways, Patagonia’s Ernesto has surpassed his one of a kind sire, Patagonia’s Lennox, and what Lennox has been able to achieve in his life-time. Ernesto’s dam, R&RR Irishea, is a light fawn from Ruth and Rodney Elvestad’s Canadian breeding program whose goal was to have lasting fine fleece, yet have the fleece to be the ultimate in density as well. Ruth operates Olds College in Canada working with fiber. Irishea is out of one of my very favorite males, CAVA Guivar Zorro, a true black import. He has many good breeding years left and would love to have the opportunity to prove it! ESTATES STORM CAT Storm Cat's sire is Snowmass Rock Star XX, our magnificent, ultra-fine, jet true black herdsire. This stunning, compact, silky-soft male with wonderful genetics, brings fineness and his gorgeous body structure, to his offspring. Rock Star's heritage includes Snowmass XXXtreme, Peruvian Legacy, and Snowmass Incan Myst XX. Her 2x champion dam, GB Storm Cat, is a beautiful true black female. Estates Storm Cat's maternal grandsire is Patagonia’s Darwin, an award-winning male with a compact body, great structure, bone, coverage, density and a handsome correct headpiece. Darwin is out of one of the top producing silver-grey males in the country! Danko has sired many top national award-winning progeny...including Darwin’s ½ brothers Patagonia’s Lennox and Crescent Moon’s Rayo Del Sol. On 7/22/16, Storm Cat gave us a light fawn female with gorgeous fleece, sired by our wonderful Snowmass Pure Passion. In 2017, Storm Cat delivered a good-looking medium brown male cria. On 9/8/18, Storm Cat had a handsome light fawn male sired by Patagonia's El Canto de Chile. On 9/17/19, Storm Cat gave us a wonderful dark fawn male sired by Snowmass Everlasting Highlander XX. On 9/21/20, presented us with a beautiful light fawn female also sired by multi-champion, Snowmass Pure Passion. On 10/30/21, Storm Cat gave birth to a nice-looking light fawn male cria. On 3/20/24, Storm Cat presented is with a handsome medium fawn male again sired by Snowmass Pure Passion.
