Delish is the best breeder and dam on our Farm. She always conceives on the first breeding and carries to full term without incident, with delivery within 2 days of predicted date every time. She's the herd Auntie, mentoring maidens through first births and early stages of motherhood. She's absolutely an invaluable addition to any breeding herd, especially for new breeders or where vet support may be minimal. Delish throws multi when bred to multi and solid black or black and white when bred to black. Her dense fleece coverage, flat locked, high luster pass to offspring. Her deep auburn red fiber comes from her dam, her well respected grandsire Meteor and her herdsire El Ganador. We have always bred her to full Peruvian Champions. Two offspring were by true black champion SBS Roulette. HVF Shaya Nesya is black and is a spitting image of him. HVF Fancy Pants was a stunning, uniquely marked black and white female that caught the eye of anyone in her line of sight. HVF Top Brass is out of Peruvian champion Photo Copy Jax and a mirror image of both his dam and sire. "Brasso" shares the same deep auburn red blanket coloring with white neck and leggings. Stunning to see in the field. Delish is currently open, as are all our dams due to space considerations and our limited availability during birthing seasons. You may purchase a breeding at a reduced fee from our available herdsires or choose your own outside herdsire. Purchase offers should reflect your understanding of this. Live birth guarantee applies to breedings selected from Humm V Farm only.

Description

We knew the moment we first saw Suri Lane Alpacas' multiple Champion Photo Copy Jax that our dam Deliciosa La Peruviana - AKA "Delish" - just had be bred to him. These two multis are mirrror images of one another and all bets were on that their offspring would be amazingly similar. Eleven months later HVF Top Brass - better known as "Brasso" - was born, the spitting image of his parents. Brasso is a deep rich auburn red suri male with white markings on his legs and belly, and with neck fleece that is predominately white with flecks of his auburn color spattered throughout. He is a Blue Ribbon winner in the show ring and he shares leadership in the male herd with our HVF RocketMan, a Durango son. Both males are the strong, silent type, calming most male competitions just by running up nearby and stomping one of their front feet. The rest of the men listen and back off. Calm in the herd is restored! Like his dad, Brasso is strong boned. He is also a bit shorter than the large part-Accoyos we have in the herd, but he is all male. On his first breeding attempt last summer, he impregnated the maiden on his first entry in less than 5 minutes and had a confirmed pregnancy at 45 days post breeding. Our bet is that Brass will do the same for your girls. Brasso has 2 breeding contracts this summer 2013 and his fleece to be shorn this spring is pre-sold. Buyer's honoring of these commitments is a condition of sale and we thank the new owners in advance for their cooperation with this. His beautiful fleece and his male accomplishments will soon be yours to appreciate far into the future.
