"Shaya Nesya" is Hebrew for, "God's Promises Kept." In our case she was the last cria born on our farm in her birth year and the first female born to us in a long, long while. Our prayers were answered with a stunning, strong, lustrous, beautifully locked, smart, true black female suri in a year when almost none yet existed in the U.S. alpaca industry. Nesya was up and running 15 minutes post delivery and nursing enthusiastically within her first half hour. Her IgG was strong and she weighed in at 15.1 pounds. Very quickly, her sire SBS Roulette's genetics came shining through. You can't tell them apart in photos taken of them separately. We were and still are thrilled with her! Nesya has grown to be a proud, tall, stretchy girl who is a curious problem solver and a great dam. Bred to Silver Ray's Premier APS (True Black then owned by Odelia Alpaca Farm), Nesya produced a lustrous, stretchy dark brown suri male named HVF Midnight Cowboy in 2009. He is now a striking young male that is ready to breed. Nesya is a proven dam and an excellent mother. Like all females currently on our farm, Nesya is sold open and her pricing and auction bid offer should reflect a buyer's knowledge of this. We would love to see what more she will produce. Nasya's fiber is flat locked, lustrous, with an estimated micron range of 24-27 following a summer of 5 weeks of temps of 105+ and drought. In previous years, her micron counts have been more in the true grade 3 range.
