Blue Gate Dulce de Leche is a beauty and a genetic treasure for the discerning breeder looking for the best color genetics. Her sire is our now deceased Snowmas Porteus. Porteus was among the best dark colored males ever produced by the storied Snowmass breeding program. One of his sons won AOBA Nationals, and his progeny on our farm are deeply valued. Porteus brings genetics from Snowmass XXXtreme, Snowmass Royal Rose, and Snowmass Casanova to the mix. Dulce de Leche's dam completes the dark color genetic mix with her sire Snowmass Andean Night, a son of Snowmass Andean Bronze. This was an ideal breeding that we would have repeated had we we not lost Porteus to an unfortunate illness. We are fortunate to have her. Her first cria is Blue Gate Cosmos whom we are guarding closely. At 1 year of age his fleece came in at 13 microns! When we learned that our new male Albus was letting the color of the dam pass through to his offspring we jumped at the opportunity to breed Dulce de Leche to Albus.
