What a Gem!! some ribbon winners including a Reserve Champion Black!! 4 female cria, 3 male cria and NO WHITE CRIA!! Tessybear is a Grand Champion winner, Her father is a multiple Grand Champ winner and we have contniued to breed her to Champion Sires over the past few years resulting in excellent cria. Tess is 7 years old and has given us FOUR beautiful quality colored female cria. 2007 was her first male cria, a wonderful medium brown one too!! (sold as a weanling) She is a excellent mother, huge amounts of milk with all her cria gaining rapid weight and becoming a very nice size before winter. She has been in perfect health, had trouble free deliveries. Simply put, the perfect alpaca!!<--description-->
Service Sire: BAL Tahir _deleted
1369441<--ari-->43256<--clrc-->Medium Brown<--color-->Tahir is another new addition to the KJ herdsire lineup. Tahir brings both excellent color and extreme fineness. His fleece feels just like butter it is so silky soft. His sire is a true black male out of Zorro and his dam is a fawn champion out of a champion producing female.
Just look at his stats on his first shearing...15.1 microns, 2.8 SD, and 18.8 CV!
There have only been a few alpacas that I put my hands on and just had to have...Tahir is one of them!
Tahir has definitely stamped himself into his crias. All 3 born this year were brown with exceptional temperaments. One may even be a bay black! We didn't have any scheduled breedings for Tahir in 2016 which is why we have him on our sales list but once his crias hit the ground, we now have 3 more coming for 2017!!<--description-->
Description
When we got the chance to purchase Prophetess it was an easy decision! As soon as she was born we fell in love with her. Prophetess was a reserve champion and her 2009 criation took Grand Champion at the ALPACA Spring Show as well as the ALPACA Odyssey Show in November 2010. He also took Reserve Champion at the Lloydminster Show in October 2010 and has now gone on to win Grand Champion at the CNASF. This girl is an excellent producer of black and dark brown offspring.
Prophetess takes the honor of shearing one of the highest weights at KJ in 2011! Her fleece still has exceptional growth and length for her age with a beautiful hand to it as well.
Prophetess delivered a strong healthy dark brown female in 2011. She is already over 100 lbs at 4 months of age. We did some cria fleece tipping on her but we should have sheared her right down as her fleece length is already very long. SOLD!
August 2012: Prophetess delivers yet another girl! The easiest birth of the year and up and running within minutes. SOLD!
July 1, 2014: Prophetess delivers another fawn girl! We are very pleased with this girl. Again up and running in minutes...26lbs at birth!
This is a very special girl to us, we love having her around, she is a stunning black although she is quite coarse, she has everything else. She still grows over 4 inches length and has excellent brightness and crimp. These are all traits that are extremely hard to get in a black.
Prophetess is now bred to Tahir, an extremely fine male with a black sire. And black it is!!
