2011 marks the second cria crop at KJ Alpacas for Cimarron Gold Legend. We are very pleased with his crias to date and 2011 started out with a brown girl, the densest cria ever...followed up by a rose grey boy with extreme look and fibre and we ended with a beautiful medium fawn girl...a GL look alike. We couldn't be happier with GL's production! Now into 2012, GL is still producing incredible results! A champion producing champions! If you need to increase your "female cria" production...GL will deliver! 13 crias to date and only 3 boys! If you are looking for long staple length, excellent defined character, bright shiny fleeces and excellent temperments, GL is your guy.

Our "Spice" line has produced very well for us. Our crosses have produced exceptional quality in a variety of colors. Spice is an excellent mother and has maintained very good fineness as she ages. In 2014 Spice produced one of our best Diomedes crias in white. We have used her son Kajun Spice with exceptional results in brown and black offspring. We are maintaining a couple of her daughters in our breeding program as well as using her sons as herdsires. Spice's daughter SugarNSpice just won White Champion Fleece and Kyan Spice won Reserve Champion Fawn Fleece in October 2015! Spice gives us another girl sired by Inizio Alyst in 2020! This is Spice's 11th cria. She has produced 8 females and 3 boys. Spice is getting up there in age but is still a strong healthy female. She can live out her life here at club KJ!

Lazaro is our first Diomedes offspring born on the farm! All I can say is WOW! This boy was born with extreme brightness and crimp. He has all the markings of a future stud. His dam carries excellent color genetics including black and his sire is truly amazing with lasting fineness...21.5 microns at 9 years old. Lazaro has the perfect Accoyo head style with a nice square stalky frame. His full sister just won Reserve Champion Medium Fleece. This boy has to be the best mannered alpaca ever. He has been in three shows and he is absolutely perfect! Stands perfect, walks perfect, never have to hold him when the judge looks at him. He deserves a prize for that alone!!! Lazaro's regrowth is extreme. I love his look!!! Very disappointed with Lazaro's show career. This boy is producing so much fleece...I think we need to re-evaluate our show system when our end result is supposed to be usable fleece and animals like Lazaro don't stand in the top of the classes! This boy has an excellent future as a stud that will increase fibre production. May 2015: Lazaro shears over 11 lbs of fleece! Still one of my favs : ) Lazaro has become our go to guy to settle females. He has produced all females (2 light & 2 dark) all with long staple length and good temperaments. Lazaro is now a star...wedding and farm pictures on his resume! Laz is hanging out in Ontario for a couple years....he is making lots of new friends and having lots of farm visitors! Laz will be coming home for a visit before he heads to Heather's place for a little stud service!
