A and A Alpacas is thrilled to announced MFI Rambunctious has arrived and will call our pastures home! According to Magical Farms, Inc. “This young son of Majestic Peruvian Jeremiah and MFI Accoyo Peruvian Rhianna just keeps getting better and we feel honored to use him in our breeding program. His sire needs no introduction as he has won herdsire of the year or reserve herdsire of the year six times, a feat that hasn’t been accomplished by any other male in the history of our industry. His dam, Rhianna comes down the famous Accoyo Rosa line and won First Place and Best Brightness at the 2005 AOBA National Fleece Show. Rambunctious’ outrageous fleece won First Place, Color Champion, Best Crimp and Judge’s Choice at the 2011 AOBA National Fleece Show! His pedigree is top of the line. From the tip of his nose to the bottom of his toes he is the quality one would expect from his pedigree. His first crias are on the ground and they are exquisite.”

Description

We purchased MFI's & KVR's Mint Mo Money -- together with our friends Ian and Jen Lutz of Cas Cad Nac Farm -- at the 2014 Breeders Choice sale at Magical Farms. Though in all honesty we hadn't gone to that final ever Breeders Choice thinking that we would be bidding on a male alpaca, Mo's fleece was so compelling to us that we figured we'd take a chance. There is always some risk in buying an alpaca that is not yet mature. We liken it to sports teams drafting 18 year old kids: while it is possible to project their possible upside based upon some markers that we've learned to recognize, there is *never* a guarantee that the animal in question will ultimately fulfill its potential. If it was too easy, it really wouldn't be any fun, right? Now, having gone through the 2015 spring show season though, it's safe to say that we all (CCNF and Emelise) feel a bit like the cats that ate the canary. Though perhaps a touch high in his hind end at the time he first arrived here, Mo went home to CCNF last fall and after six months or so of eating good Vermont hay and marching up and down the mountainside, he really filled out into a stunning young male. Guess what? The fleece held up too. Mo's pedigree consists of industry greats including Jeremiah, Titan and El Nino. The brightness, finessness and crimp style are INCREDIBLE and, frankly the best overall fleece we have seen in nearly 15 years of breeding! Mo is available for a limited number of outside stud services. His first luscious cria are on the ground and we have some more white and colored females lined up for him! Keep an eye on our sales list for girls bred to him and available for purchase!
