Vertigo is a closely held Porteus son who has incredibly dense, consistent, and supremely fine fleece with a very tight crimp style. At a second shearing Spin Fineness of 16.6 Microns with a 99.5% Comfort factor, he's a tribute to his sire and will be stepping into Porteus' footsteps as his replacement. Vertigo has quite a bit of Snowmass Alpacas elite black genetics in his background so he's one of our "go to" guys for color. Vertigo is proving that he has the strong color gene that we’d hoped. We love these fawn guys with black lineage! He has black skin, nails, markings, and eyes. So far he‘s producing black and colors with the “big time” density, fineness, coverage, and large boned style that we love. His black son Noche has expressive and buttery soft fleece. We’ll be using him on more black girls to improve fleece attributes and add density. We’ll rebreed him to our light girls to add color. With the passing of Porteus we have a big hole in our hearts, but watching Vertigo in our pastures makes us smile and so thankful that we have him.
