El Nino's Golden Legend Daughter

PrairieMoon's Yippie Ty Legend

Alpaca, Huacaya, Open (Female) | Beige

AOA #35259992 | DOB: 6/15/2015 (9 yrs)

Sire: El Nino's Golden Legend

2011 & 2012 GWAS Get of Sire

El Nino's Golden Legend

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Light Fawn
AOA# 1422443DOB: 8/2/200420 yrs
Golden Legend is: ** 3/4 Accoyo light fawn ** El Nino son ** His mom is a Classic Rose Grey, 3/4 Peruvian & 1/2 Accoyo. ** He's been Get of Sire Winner @ GWAS 2 years running for 2011 and 2012! ** A presence that must be seen to be appreciated - he loves the ladies and is a gentle efficient breeder. Golden Legend has, at best count. 120 offspring as of spring 2018. As late as 2016, his entries in Get of Sire and Breeders Best of Three Halter and Fleece shows (level 3 and 4) resulted in high placements against younger herdsires - Golden Legend proves he is still very much relevant in improving the genetics of his offspring and setting the standard for exceptional breeding programs. Golden Legend is an exceptional male that stands for quality in both phenotype and genetics. His sire, PCA Accoyo El Nino is the 2004 AOBA National Get of Sire and Senior Champion of the 2001 International Alpaca Odyssey show. Caligula's son PCA Accoyo El Nino, was unquestionably one of the top impact sires in North America. El Nino is in high demand, so much so that Pacific Crest Alpacas raised El Nino's breeding fee to $10,000, and shortly thereafter eliminated outside breedings entirely. Legend's dam is Sophia del Sol, a light grey, 3/4 Peruvian sired by Peruvian Camilio. At her first show the AOBA Senior Judge commented on the micro bundling in Sophia's fleece and said, "The only thing wrong with this alpaca is it's not a male!" If your goal is to introduce superior genetics that includes bloodlines such as Peruvian Caligula, Peruvian Camilio, and Peruvian Guellermo into your herd then you will be making a sound investment in breeding to El Nino’s Golden Legend. Many of El Nino's Golden Legend's offspring are on the ground and pulling in Championship after Championship in the show ring. At Prairie Moon Alpacas we keep Legend busy and have many exceptional crias to choose from if you cannot wait the long 11 month gestation period for a cria produced by one of your own dams. El Nino's Golden Legend pumps out carbon copy, cookie cutter, peas in a pod (however you describe the Xerox effect) offspring. TexOLAN 2016 Breeders Best of Three entry with 3 Golden Legend juveniles at 7-8 months old and not cria shorn, Golden Legend placed 3rd in a class of 4 where all entries were yearlings except for our juvenile entry. The judges (Arturo Pena and Wade Geese) commented that all of the animals in our entry had long dense large fleeces for small bodies on juveniles - and then they put their hands into the fleeces again and smiled. After the awards were presented, the judges commented "the sire was the same in the Get entry as the Breeders Best - RIght?". We entered different juveniles in Get of Sire and Breeders Best - and the judges recognized the sire from the fleeces in both entries.

PrairieMoon's Getty Up and Go

HuacayaBred (Female)Medium Brown
AOA# 32443257DOB: 9/18/201212 yrs
Getty Up and Go got her name because she hit the ground from the womb, stood up and immediately started to run – not walk. She has calmed down a bit and is now a mature elegant lady with a calm demeanor. Getty Up and Go seemed too big a mouth full for a name so we call her LuLu after her Mother, Annie Luvenia. LuLu is medium brown (that pretty red brown color), conformationally correct with a typey head and cute fuzzy ears. When the babies run and play LuLu goes with them and still runs and runs like she did as a cria. Annie Luvenia is a GWAS Color Champion and her sire is Catch-A-Romeo. Romo sure puts his “look” on his offspring and as with LuLu, it seems to continue into future generations. LuLu's 2015 El Nino's Golden Legend daughter is named PrairieMoon's Yippie Ty. Yippie Ty is what we have been breeding for in fleece traits and conformation - and the judges seem to agree (click below for more information on Yippie Ty). And we could not think of a better herdsire for a 2016 cria than Legend so we tried again and Woopie Ty is here. Wooppie Ty is a medium brown male and looks just like Mom. We bred LuLu back by Legend for a 2017 cria since the hits keep on coming with this pairing and we got another great looking male - PrairieMoon's Let's Go Ty Legend. All of LuLu's crias have been stunning and the Legend pairing seems to be a winner. So....... we have another Legend cria due in 2018 from the same pairing. Lu Lu has exceptional mothering skills. Easy to breed (pregnant 1st time), easy birther, plenty of milk for fast cria growth and weight gain, very attentive and calm mom. Description

PrairieMoon's Yippie Ty Legend is an El Nino's Golden Legend daughter in both fleece characteristics, conformation and looks. Yippie Ty has a fine, bright, consistent, dense fleece typical of Legend offspring and it goes all the way up between her ears. Yippie Ty also has her Sire's strong friendly personality. And she is just such a pretty feminine little girl. Yippie Ty is Yippie Ty because her Mom is Getty Up and Go - they both hit the ground running strong and stunning. El Nino's Golden Legend pumps out carbon copy, cookie cutter, peas in a pod (however you describe the Xerox effect) offspring. Yippie Ty was part of our TexOLAN 2016 Breeders Best of Three entry (a juvenile at 7 months old and not cria shorn) placing 3rd in a class of 4 where all entries were yearlings except for our juvenile entry. The judges (Arturo Pena and Wade Geese) commented that all of the animals in our entry had long dense large fleeces for small bodies on crias and were a good choice for the Breeders Best entry. They also commented that Yippie Ty would yield a full basket of fine lovely fleece - and this was after the same comment was made for Doll Baby. After ribbons were awarded for the class, they commented “that the sire for the Breeders Best entry was the same as the Get entry - right?” We entered different Legend offspring for the Get entry and the Breeders Best entry – we wanted to show them all off. Yippie Ty placed 2nd in the juvenile female light full fleece halter class out of 6 entires. The judge, Wade Geese, commented that she was "lovely with strong conformation with fine dense consistent fleece with soft handle". We were so proud and happy to stand in 2nd place in the ring with Yippie Ty against some really tough competition - Yippie Ty was not cria shorn like the others in the class and 2 months younger than the other entries. Yippie Ty comes from a long line of dams who have good mothering skills; easy to be bred, easy birthers with a square sturdy frame, plenty of milk for fast cria growth and health and calm attentive Moms. Yippie Ty is ready to be bred to your herdsire in spring 2018 and will bring her genetics to your breeding program. MORE pictures on Yippie Ty's photo album.
