Zeppelin is the 2013 AOBA National Black Male Fleece Champion and sire to multiple champion offspring. With his fourth fleece, Zeppelin won the 2013 AOBA National Black Male Fleece Color Championship. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg on his accomplishments! Here are some of his fleece statistics - Fiber Stats: 2009 - AFD 15.7 / SD 2.8 / CV 18.0 / 0.2 % >30 2010 - AFD 16.9 / SD 2.9 / CV 16.9 / 0.4% >30 2011 - AFD 17.7 / SD 3.3 / CV 18.4 / 0.8 % >30 2012 - AFD 19.8 / SD 3.9 / CV 19.7 / 2.1% >30 2013 - AFD 20.4 / SD 4.1 / CV 19.9 / 3.0% >30 Shearing Weight: 2009 - 6 pounds total = 7.2 pounds annualized 2010 - 9.5 pounds total = 8.75 pounds annualized 2011 - 10.1 pounds annualized 2012 - 10.8 pounds annualized His Cria: – His first baby to ever show, fawn Zeppelin’s Rainsong, purchased by The Alpaca Group, won a color championship at her first show! – We are honored that Zeppelin’s genetics have also been chosen by Pacific Crest Alpacas / Accoyo America. – Snowmass Alpacas purchased from Delphi Alpacas (our co-owners of Zep), one black Zeppelin daughter and 3 black females bred to Zeppelin; as well as a female bred to him from another farm. Watch for those kids in their show string in 2014/2015. Zeppelin has 110 cria on the ground so far, and he is throwing a lot of black. From black based dams his current total is: – From 9 TB dams he has thrown 4 TB, 1 DSG, 3 BB, and 1 DF cria. – From 2 BB dams he threw 1 BB and 1 LF cria. – From 4 Silver greys (black base) he threw 3 TB and 1 MB. From light colors he often darkens the dam. – From 8 whites, he has yet to throw a white, with some beiges and even a TB – From 6 fawns, he has thrown a variety of colors, including DRG But regardless of color, with Zeppelin it’s ALL about the fleece quality. Zeppelin's Lineage: Zeppelin is prepotent for that fine fleece with gorgeous character. His dad, PHA Peruvian Taos, a stunning Legacy son, had a 22.9 AFD at 7 yrs. Zeppelin’s mom tested at 21.3 AFD at 7 years as well. Zeppelin also offers correct conformation, impressive presence, size, coverage, and substance of bone. His crimp, luster and dense lock structure are stunning and his staple length is extreme. Zeppelin is the big guy in the pasture that look s like a million bucks - he really is an impressive stud at his prime. Zeppelin is full Peruvian and 3/8 Accoyo.

Catch-A-Romeo's Daisy

HuacayaBred (Female)Medium Fawn
AOA# 31627382DOB: 8/31/200915 yrs
Daisy is a dark fawn (non-fading) female that is conformationally correct. Daisy has a long dense fleece that is crimpy and her face is draped by curls. Daisy’s Dad is Catch-A-Romeo and as with all of the Romo girls, Daisy has a square big boned frame with a typey head that she passes on to her crias. Daisy is a good Mom easy to breed with a history of easy birthing with plenty of milk for fast cria growth. Daisy is pregnant by El Nino's Golden Legend for a 2018 cria. Daisy's 2015 Zeppelin cria is PrairieMoon Zeppelin's Buffalo Gal. Because we loved Buffalo Gal so much, we bred her back for a 2016 cria - and SHE is here. Another female named "Got A Glow" . Glow is stunning, bright shiny fine fleece with a sturdy and square confident confirmation. Daisy’s prior male crias have been exceptional, Sneakey Pete (medium rose gray 2nd place at 2014 GWAS) and High Park Flyer and she passes on her dense crimpy fleece and good looks to her crias. Fiber stats: 2011 – AFD 23.0, SD 4.5, CV 19.4% and %>30 5.9 (at 2 years of age)

Description

PrairieMoon Zeppelin's Buffalo Gal is stunning from the day she was born and she is still lovely with an Avatar baby on the way in summer 2018. Solid square confirmation, typey head, dense fine bright fleece - coming from both Dam and Sire. Fleece that bundles and glows. How could she be anything but lovely. Arturo Pena, TexOLAN judge, said she was lovely and felt that her fleece would become denser as she matured since she was only 6 months old at the show. He commented on her fine bright consistent fleece and square conformation. Sharon Loner, Fall Fest judge, commented that Buffalo Gal's fleece was VERY fine and soft with minimal guard hair. Buffalo Gal continued to win Halter and Fleece Show awards until she began her breeding career. Judges comments always mentioned her bright and fine crimpy fleece. She is a true BMF Taos' daughter in fleece characteristics. Buffalo Gal comes from multiple generations of dams with superior mothering skill; easy breeders, easy birthers, abundant rich milk for fast cria weight gain and health. Buffalo is easy to manage and handle.
