Spruce Ridge Wilhelmina
Alpaca, Huacaya, Open (Female) | Light Fawn
AOA #31143998 | DOB: 9/29/2007 (17 yrs) (Due Date: 1/1/1900)
Sire: Maple Brook Oro's Prince
31143998<--ari-->White<--color-->Full Peruvian, PPeruvian Felix son.
A full Accoyo, snow white male with soft, fine yet very dense fleece. Hand-spinners gasp when they feel his fleece! At age 7, he is still only 23.9 micron with a CV of 19.3. These are the stats you want in your breeding program. Excellent conformation and bite. He looks like a white ball his fleece is so dense. Great disposition too. We sheared 12.65 pounds of fiber from him in 2002. Prince's crias consistently retain under 20 micron fleece to their second shearing; they all have his dense, soft fleece.
In March 2006 we did a skin biopsy on Prince to check his fiber statistics. He tested an incredible 14.5 to 1 secondary to primary follicles and 72 follicles per square millimeter of skin. These stats are outstanding and place him in the top 5% of huacayas tested.

Dam: MKC'S Mai Tai
31143998<--ari-->Beige<--color-->We bought Mai Tai at an auction at the MAPACA show several years ago – I was blown away by her fleece character and density. Her lineage includes Camilio and Victor. At age 4 and after a couple of crias, her micron is 24.6 with a CV of 16.7. Very consistent! Her two crias are beautiful. Wilhelmina (a Prince daughter) did very well in the show ring – gorgeous fleece on her. Mai Tai’s second cria if a beautiful medium silver grey boy, Greystone. Mai Tai produces beautiful fleece and grey!
Rebreeding her was a tough decision: do I go back to Prince and get another beautiful fleece like Wilhelmina or do I try for grey again, since that was so successful. In the end, I decided on Prince and Mai Tai had a beautiful white girl on 7/12/10. <--description-->
Description
Extraordinary dense silky soft, crimpy fleece. Wilhelmina is the daughter of Maple Brook Oro's Prince, a full Accoyo son of Felix, holding at age 7 a 23.9 micron. Excellent conformation with a very feminine look. She is an excellent breeder, easy birther and attentive mom, a great foundation girl.
In July 2010 she gave birth to a beautiful medium fawn girl, who took a blue at PAOBA and a 2nd at NAAS 2011 - Color Champion NE Alpaca Classic 2011. Spring of 2014 she gave birth to yet another beautiful MF female sired by the multi-champion Beethoven, who took the blue in her class at just 6 months old.
Wilhelmina produces show winners. Her crias consistently have a uniform fleece, with a low micron and stylish crimp structure.
