The only time Tatania was shown she took an easy Blue Ribbon, and was very, very close to Reserve Champion, in a large class at NAAS in 2003. She is a large, heavy boned non-fading true black, with great coverage. She's tall and proud, nicely square and has straight legs and a good bite. Her cria have the most wonderful crimpy, soft and bright fleece and so far all have had tufted ears and great coverage. Tatania has grey in her ancestry and up at the top of her neck. She is an easy keeper and a good mom with plenty of milk. Her five cria (a LSG male (out of DSG), TB male (out of TB), two DB females (one out of BB and one out of Beige) and BB female (out of white!)) were born unassisted. Tatania is a granddaughter of Peruvian Drambuie (Alianza). For decades, the farms of the Rural Alianza Co-op have selectively bred alpacas for their vigor and ability to retain their dense, fine fleeces into full maturity and beyond, and Tatania is no exception. Her fiber spins up into the most glorious yarn—come to our farm and feel it, you’ll be amazed. Tatania’s 2008 cria is a spunky MB female with black points sired by DPA Quetzal (W). Her 2009 cria is an amazing LSG sired by Grey Skies, a DSG loaded with quality and genetics (Legacy, Bueno, Legacy Gold, Casanova, and Incan Magic!). This little cutie is a tuxdo grey with only two small 1" spots of black on his hip bones. Amazing luster and softness. Tatania's 2010 cria is a lovely bay black out of Maple Brook Oro's Prince, a white full Accoyo Felix son.
