Mulan, a spectacular 1/2 Accoyo Bruxo daughter, has been a star in the Wild Rose breeding program. She consistently produces champions with offspring like WRSR Accoyo Razor and WRSR Peruvian Navajo, producing a high luster fleeces with a greasy feel. Her conformation is impeccable and is highlighted by her beautiful head that she passes to her crias. Mulan delivered another show-stopping and award winning cria out Cantano's Peruvian Claytonite in Oct. 2007, WRSR Claytonite's Bianca, a deep maroon 1/4 Accoyo female that has the fleece characteristics of WRSR Accoyo Razor. Bianca went on to become a "Color Champion" at a level 5 show. Mulan continues to produce outstanding crias with color whether bred with white or color. She is truly a top foundation dam. Her latest cria by Allegheny Peruvian King Coal is a phenomenal dark silver gray male, "Coalossus" with dripping luster in a gray fleece. We are thrilled! Multiple Champions Produced: WRSR Accoyo Razor WRSR Peruvian Navajo Gold WRSR Claytonite's Bianca Mulan has been retired and now lives out her days at the farm. She continues to foster crias and she took on WRSR Snickers at one month old when her dam died from congestive heart failure. Mulan has nurtured Snickers and her milk came in to feed her. While Snickers is now weaned, the two of them stick together and remain close. It is quite a sight to see and heartwarming to watch.

Description

What a surprise when he was born! Out popped what appeared to be a light fawn cria with speckling, but he was light silver grey at the skin! His dam is one of Wild Rose Suri Ranch's foundation dams, and the dam of WRSR Accoyo Razor, DDF Mulan, a 1/2 Accoyo Bruxo daughter. While Mulan produces color when bred to color, we were surprised at getting a modern silver grey, since this is the first grey cria for multiple black champion Allegheny Peruvian King Coal. Coalossus has a beautiful drapey, slick high luster fleece, and has darkened each shearing until he is now a uniform dark silver gray color. He has a beautiful suri phenotype head and great proportions of the neck, back, and legs. His fiber has very uniform locks that drape beautifully, even on the regrowth. It has a wonderful hand, and lays close to the body. Afraid of loftiness? Coalossus' fleece is "teflon" slick - it easily shed debris and dirt, even crumpled leaves, hay, and grass. This is a great opportunity to breed to a NEW grey appy bloodline. He is not related to Condor, Gunsmoke, Magnifico, Silver Heat, Mercury Rising, Silver King, Manitou, Baranoff, Seattle Mist, Platinum Marquis, nor any other grey/grey appy. Go for the grey, and introduce Coalossus this year to your colored girls to produce improved micron, uniformity, handle, density and color! Coalossus has done well in the show ring, always placing in the top 3. His 2012 Suri Network All Suri Spin-off entry won 1st place and a score of 94 points, tied for most points at the show! As a mature, breeding male, his fiber stats have remained virtually unchanged for 3 years, holding strong under 30 micron and very reasonably uniform, especially for a silver grey. Coalossus settled his first female on his first breeding! He is a good breeder and is easy on the females. He now has 3 cria on the ground, grey, maroon, and fawn - all very nice! His daughter WRSR Pepper Dot by Coalossus not only was awarded 1st Place at the Carolina Alpaca Show but sold as well! She is the same beautiful color as her sire. Coalossus is being bred to multiple dark colors this year...can't wait for next year!
