Snowshoe Astraios is showing great promise as a herdsire placing well in the halter class and fleece as well. Judges often comment on the fact that Astraios is a mature male and still has fantastic fleece that hasn't blown out yet. He recently became a father to a cria born on a farm in Vermont. Astraios's fleece has a long staple length accompanied with even crimp throughout. Completed with his density and body structure, he has earned a few blue ribbons and two reserve color championships. Astraios is a bright white color (when he stays clean) right through his fleece that we hope to pass on to crias. Check out his AOA and VAOBA awards and others. We are so excited that he has done so well in New York and other States against quality animals. His 2014 3rd place national award was in a class of 11 other animals.The VAOBA was a second in class and a reserve color Champion to the winner of the class. His recent 2nd place in class at MAPACA was also impressive as his fleece was moved into a younger white male category and he placed 2nd out of 5 showing he is not loosing his quality looks. On 07/30/14 Astraios fathered a 19 lb. bright white girl called "Astraio's Winter Lilly", this little girl is doing great. Check out her photos on her mom's page, Alpen Winter rose. Also his son (Maximus) was born on 08/14/14 to Simba's Sweet Lucile. The cria weighed in at 16 lbs. and we were there to witness and assist with the birth. The very light brown(for now any way) cria got his legs quickly and bonded very fast with mom. Look at mom's page to see baby pictures. Another update to announce. On 08/18/14 we had another Astraios son born. The mom is Dojo Sophie Rose. The 19lb. dark brown male is named Leonitus. SPRING SPECIAL......... WE WILL BE CUTTING ASTRAIOS BREEDING TO 750.00. ALHF Simba's Sweet Lucille is a friendly and curious female who is always greeting everyone with a kiss. Lucy and her half sister, Dojo's Sophie Rose of Limerick Hill, both have very feminine features which they acquired from their mother and have shown to pass along to their female offspring. Lucy has been bred to our newest herdsire and two time white reserve color champion, Snowshoe Astraios. UPDATE on 08/14/14 we had the pleasure to watch and help Lucy deliver our newest cria, he looks to be a very light brown but time will tell. He weighed 16 pounds and got his legs quickly, mom and him bonded right away and are doing great. We have named him Maximus.
