Shangri-La can lay claim to something no other alpaca in the world can and that is being the only full brother to Accoyo El Nino. El Nino has produced numerous champions, was Futurity Herdsire of the Year in 2005 and won 1st Place in Get of Sire at 2004 Nationals. El Nino has taken over as supreme herdsire at Pacific Crest Accoyo America following in the footsteps of his late legendary sire, Caligula. Shangri-La is already proving to be a prepotent herdsire producing multiple blue ribbon winning offspring. He is letting color pass through producing offspring darker than the dam and has even produced black! Shangri-La is a stunning male with extraordinarily dense fleece that exhibits crimp and character right down to his belly. Shangri-La's sire, Caligula needs no introduction and has literally too many awards to list. His dam, Sunipani also has numerous awards including the very prestigous Judge's Choice Award for fleece at AOBA Nationals. Shangri-La's brother, El Nino had a breed fee of $10000 before outside breedings were closed. Greg Mecklem donated an El Nino breeding at 2006 Nationals that fetched an unheard of $15000. Jolene, our medium fawn girl, is the most inquisitive little girl on our ranch. Her coloring, the shape of her eyes and her fineness leads us to believe she is closely related to the wild Vicuna. Jolene has much to offer any breeding program. Her conformation is solid, her fleece exhibits density and high frequency crimp with a great handle.

This silver grey male has great potential to produce. His lineage is full of black and grey both silver and rose. He has very very long, soft, fleece, good conformation, and a proper bite. His staple is always over 4". He has well defined crimp. And his fleece is consistent with no protruding guard hair. His fiber is the same nomatter which color spot or place on his blanket. He is settling a small group of fawn girls on our farm.
