Sire: Black IceCapade
30663428<--ari--> Bay Black<--color-->We are confident that Black Icecapade is one of the top five black herdsires in the USA. He has the densest, crimpiest, most bright black fleece we have ever seen and he passes his great characteristics onto his offspring! Black Icecapade has never produced an alpaca lighter than medium fawn, even when bred to a super white - he produces true deep color all the time.
While Black Icecapade is a show champion many times over as awarded by Judges Julio Sumar, Amanda Vandenbosch, Maggie Krieger and Mike Safley, we are now seeing his offspring show off their superior fleece and great conformations in competitions. At the 2005 North American Alpaca Show with over 1,200 alpacas in attendance the Black Icecapade kids took the show by storm! All of his offspring placed in their respective classes; 1st place juvenile black male, 1st place yearling brown female, 2nd place yearling black female, 2nd and 5th place yearling black male, 4th place medium brown male and 5th place dark brown yea<--description-->
Dam: Okanagan's 233EI (Cocoa)
30663428<--ari-->Bay Black<--color-->Cocoa is another strong member of our foundation herd. Her fiber is super fine and holding!
Cocoa is a proven mom who has produced gray cria when bred to gray. She has made incredible contributions to our breeding program, including Avatar's Ironman, the 2005 Futurity Reserve Champion. <--description-->
Service Sire: Glenstone's Cornell
30663428<--ari-->Medium Silver Gray<--color-->Glenstone's Cornell is a beauty! His fleece is unbelievably soft which is rare in grey animals, with consistent crimp from top knot to tail. He has excellent staple length, perfect bite, and upright comformation. He inherited his gentle handle from his dam, Corona. He is the first cria of our very own Glenstone's Immendorff, a true black male sired by My Peruvian Black Knight. He has proved that Immendorff is indeed a quality breeding male. His dam, Enchantment's Corona, is the daughter of a silver grey Chilean import and is sired by the "Herdsire of Champions," Dom Lucilio, sired by PPPeruvian Royal Fawn, a legendary sire and possibly the influential males ever imported. Cornell has genetics ranging from the famous full Accoyo Royal Fawn, to one of the best silver greys in America, Silvio.
Cornell has one female bred testing positive for a May 2013 cria. He has settle 2 more since hes been here just a week. Testing on those shortly, to be confirmed by ultrasound in late winter.<--description-->
Sumatra is a Dark Rose Gray daughter of Champion-producing mom, Cocoa, and Spa Alpacas’ Black Icecapade, sire of multiple blue-ribbon offspring. Sumatra is a typey young female with solid conformation and dense, lustrous, soft fiber.
In 2009 Sumatra gave birth to a True Black girl, but also nursed an orphaned cria along her own....so she is an excellent mother, producing ample milk for her offspring.
In 2011 Sumatra gave birth to Titanium Rose a Modern DSG male who is on his way to Herdsire Row...
