Dam: Round Midnight

Round Midnight

HuacayaOpen (Female)True Black
AOA# 846765DOB: 6/23/200321 yrs
True black and half Accoyo -- now, that should get some attention! Well, this little girl gets the lion's share of attention from all of our farm visitors. As much as I love to show, I am afraid I may not get the honor to show her since she is likely to be snapped up soon. Close your eyes and feel this fiber -- you will not believe you are feeling a black fleece. Middie has the same expression of crimp and brightness as a youngster that characterizes all of her sire's, El Segundo de Royal Fawn's, kids. Middie's full brother is our award-winning Valentino del Segundo -- and we expect her to steal the show at her very first! Round Midnight was sold in the AOBA National Conference Auction.

Service Sire: Snowmass Bronze Dawn

Snowmass Bronze Dawn

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Brown
AOA# 30338685DOB: 5/24/200717 yrs
He combines the best color genetic cross of Snowmass Nova and Snowmass Royal Bronze. Per Julie Skinner "He is one we really should be holding on to..if you ask us the secret to some of the best developing blacks and browns it is these two lines which are the foundation of excellence in darker color in ALL our females and males." "The industry needs these secret ingredients to multiply fine dark colored alpacas." Solid conformationally with fine yet extremely dense fleece. Looking for exceptional colored bloodlines that had super density and lingering fineness totally unrelated to any of our herd, we can not be happier to have acquired this outstanding FINE male! He will take our herd to the next level. We are ready for the next chapter..and Bronze Dawn should make it a novel worth reading...one you just can't put down! His ARI heritage includes some of Snowmass best and some significant original Peruvian imports of all times...Peruvian Bueno, Peruvian Drambuie, 4 Peruvian Andean Gold, 4 Peruvian Legacy, Snowmass Peruvian Cassanova, and Snowmass Andean Bronze. His dad Snowmass Royal Bronze whose 6 year histogram is 18.6 with only 2.5%>30. How is that for lingering fineness in a brown? This truly is a ROYAL line...micron of under 20 and a spectacular fleece producing machine. Bronze Dawn is a 4th generation of strong paternal line of long term ROYAL fleece producers in color. BOTH parents CURRENT histograms are amazing in lasting finesness and very little guard hair. Colored genetics at its finest! Bronze Dawn has only ONE confirmed pregnancy to Snowmass Sterling Silver due in fall 2011. Break out the PINK cigars..introducing Bronze Dawn Niagra! Per owner Stacie Chavez "Niagra as in falls – looks just like her daddy – her fleece is AMAZING – he has got some strong genes – I don’t see anything that she got from her mom – she has very long legs and beautiful little muzzle and long eyelashes!!!!" Snowmass Bronze Dawn is proudly coowned with our friends and partners The Alpaca Ranch at Cobb Creek Cabins in Murphy NC. Book breedings at either location!
