Stone is the complete package! He was hand picked from the 'Cloud' line, raised by one of the best breeders in the biz...Barry & Debbie Bartmasser of Emerald Farm Alpacas!
From head to toe he has everything a breeder wants & desires!!!
Stone has a stubby head w/ a full & dense topknot. His fleece is extremely dense & stamped w/ deep, uniform crimp. Stone has a beautiful, butter soft fleece & very long staple length.
Stone has a strong & well-balanced heavy bone structure. His bite is perfectly aligned under the top pallet & centered exactly correct.
His genetics go back to two of the best..."Pperuvian Victor" & "Danko"!!!
Pperuvian Victor (deceased) was the youngest male that arrived in the Peruvian importation in 1994, & in the words of the late Dr. Jim Vickers, had the "most beautiful fleece". Victor's fleece swept the awards @ the 1995 AOBA National Fleece Show!
Victor sheared an incredible 14.5 lbs per year w/ over 8 pounds of blanket, & a staple length of over 6 inches. The hallmarks of Victor offspring are superior crimp, density, luster, fineness, & excellent staple length along with an ability to transmit all of these qualities in a wide range of colors. He is the only Accoyo male to have so many prize winning offspring in such a wide color range. The trademark style of the "Victor crimp" has become widely known in the North American alpaca industry.
Danko is a phenomenal silver gray herdsire. He is well-known for throwing champions of all colors, especially gray & black. He has excellent strong bone structure, extensive fiber coverage & passes a typey conformation onto his offspring. The fleece of his cria tend to exhibit very uniform & tight crimp throughout the blanket & have done exceptionally well @ shows.
The oldest of the Stone babies, "Stone Cold Stunner" (DRG), hit the show ring...at only 6 1/2 months of age, & his 1st SHOW, Stunner won RESERVE COLOR CHAMPION!!!
