Honey Be V (aka "Honey") is owned by Tuccillo Farm in Chesterfield, New Jersey and is offered here for sale exclusively by Close-Knit Alpacas via The Secret Meadow program. She can be purchased individually, or in an incredible Collection (custom or already coordinated for you)!
Honey has produced no fewer than 3 ARI registered crias thus far, all white, NONE have been "blue-eyed whites," like she is...two males and one female, born in '08, '09 and '10. Two are on this sales list, so please take a look at the following alpacas for more insight into what Honey produces: LU LU BEE V (female born in '09, sired by a full Accoyo stud for sale on this list, HDF PRESTIGE'S ACCOYO ROCKY), and MADISON BE V (male born in '10, sired by a bay black stud on this sales list, HEMI-ACCOYO OF TUCCILLO FARM).
Blue-Eyed whites, as experienced breeders know, must be carefully bred, if bred at all. Females are utilized more than males, but bred very thoughtfully, and usually to solid colored males.
Honey has not been bred for '11, '12 or '13 due to herd size and the recession, so she is ready to be bred to your own super-stud. Honey proved to be an easy breeder, birther and terrific mother to her cria, so its expected this will continue with the next babe...
When I asked the Tuccillo Farm manager, Shirley Vaughn, what one word most aptly and succinctly describes Honey, she said, "Mellow."
When asked if there is anything outstanding, negative or positive, that should be disclosed about Honey, she marked "yes" and stated "Fiber, MFD is 27.2," and she "sheared 7 pounds in 2012." Great! Especially for a dam Honey's age and after having produced three cria.
According to Shirley, also, Honey "is good" on halter, leading and cooperates with herd health procedures - all important to know when considering a new dam for one's herd.
For bright white fiber and good, general mothering abilities, Honey's a good gal to consider. She's mellow and sweet and no trouble at all!
