Helga passed away in 2014 from coronary failure. She was our herd matriarch for 11 years and we have left her here on our page for reference as we have many of her children, grandchildren & even Great grandchildren still on our farm. RIP my old gal.. you are missed! Helga was a full Peruvian inutero import. Just all around an awesome alpaca! She has excellent bone structure and a wonderful crimped fiber. The Mother of Our fabulous herdsire "Big Wally". Her female cria "Kuska Peruvian Tater-Tot" stormed through the southern fall shows placing in every entry! We held Helga open last year to recoop herself and prepare for some more awesome cria! Helga stole my heart when we were first shopping for alpacas, We shipped her all the way from Maine to Mississippi Hailing all the way from Chase Tavern Farm / Cas-Cad-Nac Farm to add her incredible genes to our herd. She just has a wonderful look about her, kind of like a Dr. Suess character. Then the quality is just unbelievable, Have a look at her 7 year old micron scores. She still has fleece softer than many 2 year olds. It just doesn't get any better! We cannot wait for another Helga offspring!! Beautiful, healthy crias exhibiting outstanding substance, presense and silky, crimpy, dense, long fleeces. These genetics have produced numerous award winning progeny and grandkids at regional and national events in a variety of colors, including black. Locota daughters and granddaughters are compact in body style and consistent producers with great lactation. Tot is from the same bloodlines that created Lanarks Peruvian Chanel, our top foundation female and the gal that, bar none, has made the biggest impact on our production herd. Tot is quite an exceptional full Peruvian beauty and she's passing on her traits to her cria. She just had a gorgeous male out of 9 time color champion Renosant's Peruvian El Corazon that even at a couple of weeks old is showing to have carried through his dam and sire's best qualities. Tot is very dense and has the biggest top knot on the farm, nice and full, her coverage is complete from her nose to her toes.
