Looking for some great Bolivian dark genetics at a bargain price? Then check out Tobiano. This male was the sleeper of our breeding program who developed into a stunning herdsire. Just look at his fleece numbers – for a dark male of his age those are some pretty nice numbers – and you should see his cria! We have been thrilled with the cria he has produced to date; they all have their sire’s fine fleece and super brightness. Take advantage of this breeding fee before we come to our senses and increase it!

Soft handle, abundant fleece and strong conformation are qualities you will like in ‘Chai”. A well balanced alpaca, Chai has great bone density, which along with her fleece qualities she passes on to her cria. This curious girl is an easy keeper, an amazing milk producer and a joy to have around. In October 2007 Chai delivered a beautiful true black female, the daughter of our dark brown male Windrush Tobiano. Windrush Shiimsa has silky bright fine fleece and will no doubt be a solid producer like her dam Chai. October 2008 Chai again delighted us with another daughter Windrush Kanika, out of our color champion light fawn herdsire Windrush Jennifer's Zindel. Kanika started off as a bay black but when shorn this spring is now a beautiful, shiny true black. We will be breeding Chai back soon to one of our Windrush Herdsires and are tempted to repeat either the breeding to Tobiano or the breeding to Zindel to see if we can get another beautiful black Chai daughter. Chai has some dominant color genetics and will serve you well if color is what you are looking to put into your herd. I hate to put her on the sales list, but our great 2008 cria crop means we have to free up some room in our pastures. We have Chai and her daughters all listed for sale, but will be retaining one of them for our own herd. Make your selection from these girls fast to pick the best one for your needs.

Description

Windrush Shiimsa is a wonderful mother who breeds and gives birth easily, and has no milk issues. All 3 of her cria have been true black. (Two were sired by a light fawn and one by a true black.) She has had two females and one male -all healthy and handsome. An excellent production dam, she is somewhat shy but once she is caught is very easy to lead and handle. She loves to be sprayed with the hose on a hot day! Easy keeper and breeder. She comes from a mix of Peruvian, Chilean, and Bolivian bloodlines, and is able to be bred to studs from just about any major bloodline. Shiimsa is a mid-size dam with solid conformation. Any breeder looking to breed for fine black fleece needs to take a closer look at Shiimsa! Excellent value at $3000.
