The son of two true black Peruvian imports, 5Peruvian Black Ice and 6Peruvian Anastasia, Knightrider offers rare black West Coast genetics in a magnificent package! Knightrider has excellent conformation and beautiful dense, crimpy fiber with great staple length and handle, particularly for a mature black breeding male. Knightrider will reside at Thistledown for breedings in Virginia from approximately November 15 - May 15 each year, spending the remainder of his time with his coowner, Susquehanna Farms in Maryland. Knightrider is the perfect choice for those breeders looking to diversify their black genetics, as his sire, 5Peruvian Black Ice, has few offspring on the East Coast. Knightrider is also one of only a handful of solid true black, full Peruvian "double-black" males in the country, with two true black parents. Proven to produce quality color, including black out of beige and medium fawn, maroon out of grey, black out of fawn/white pinto, plus dark brown out of white.

Description

Are you looking for a Champion winning black with some different bloodlines to add to your herd? Piston has won many ribbons including a Reserve and a Championship. In 2007 he won the Color Championship over other large, well known farms in both conformation and fleece scores. His fleece is well organized, has a soft hand and is still fine for a breeding black male. He has a gorgeouse head, large bone, and a nice wide chest. While he does have a strong, stout frame, Piston is not considered to be a large male. If you are thinking of breeding him to a smaller female you dont have to worry about huge cria. Piston has proven to settle dam's in one breeding every time. All of his cria have been born without issues and have all shown vast improvements. He throws his head, large bone, perfect conformation and his soft, dense fiber. He is also know for throwing the color of the Dam 100% of the time (so far). I currently have two of his cria on site for you to see. Note: His picture shows a spot on his right, back thigh. That is VM of some sort. He is solid black from head to toe. Accepting all offers!!!
