NWA, LTD Accoyo Prestige

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)White
AOA# 822221DOB: 9/15/200024 yrs
Prestige is not retired from breeding but this listing is for reference purposes. Prestige is a white full Accoyo son of Pachacuti, who is now deceased. This wonderful male has had a very illustrious career in the showring, having won four blue ribbons, two color championships and a reserve color championship. All this was accomplished in very large level five shows against some of the most highly recognized herdsires in the country. He has presence and attitude which he infuses into his offspring. Additionally, he has proven to be a pre-potent herdsire, passing on his superior traits to his offspring; each cria that he has sired are a great representation of what this male can produce. They have developed high frequency bundling crimp, which is uniform in micron and character, on perfectly conformed frames. In November 2012, we decided to have Dr. Evans do a skin biopsy on Prestige as a 12-year-old breeding male. Knowing that the recommended age for doing such a skin biopsy is 18-24 months of age, we knew that we might be doing a disservice to Prestige. However, Dr. Evans’ comments proved us wrong. Here are his comments: “Prestige is awesome for a 12 year old male. Density of 62; secondary fibers still average 22.2 microns and his primary fibers still average below 30 microns with a spread of 7.4 microns. The average micron spread in 91 of the better males in 2011 was 8.22 microns. Prestige’s stats are very genetically strong for a 12 year-old. Most 12 year-old huacaya males that I have tested show 1/3 less density as well as fineness of fiber. This boy is ahead of his time.” The best part is that in addition to having super fineness, he tends to allow the dam’s color to pass through so you can anticipate color in the offspring while still achieving fineness of fleece.

Accoyo America Morning Glory

HuacayaBred (Female)White
AOA# 839554DOB: 8/11/200222 yrs
Morning Glory is what a full accoyo should be. Big in size, big-boned, super dense, yet fine (check out her histogram stats). She has lovely, super dense, fine fiber with a well-defined, high frequency, uniform crimp. She sports the thick, dense bone structure prevalent in full accoyos. MG is tall and straight with perfect conformation and a proud presence. She is a calm and attentive mother who has had easy deliveries, lots of milk and healthy crias. Morning Glory has had 5 crias - three boys and two girls, all with fine, super dense, bundling fleeces and good, thick, solid bones. At age 8 and after 5 crias, Morning Glory's fleece is still lovely, super soft, super dense, has retained it's crimp and makes a lovely yarn. Morning Glory is bred to Mary's Alpaca - Accoyo Justinian, a super full accoyo Caligula son for an exceptional spring 2012 cria.
