Dakini Kokatahee by MPE

SuriHerdsire (Male)Medium Fawn
AOA# 32393897DOB: 9/3/201113 yrs
This boy got the best his champion parents can offer - beautiful confirmation with a spectacular head and high luster extremely soft fleece. In fact his fleece has such an amazingly soft handle it's hard to stop touching it! Top that off with a friendly personality and a pedigree full of stars and you've got a fantastic herdsire prospect. His mother is one of our all-time favorite alpacas who's juvi fleece was an astounding 16 microns. Matched with Enrique who's first two fleeces came in at 19 microns, she's produced 2 solid fawn, super fine boys in a row. 2014 - Kokatahee's first cria, Dakini Echo in the Bone, is outstanding. We couldn't be more thrilled with this result. 2015 - Unfortunately the dams chosen for the 2015 production were killed in a dog attack on the farm and their crias died with them. 2016 - Congratulations to Big Timber Alpacas on their new Kokatahee girl Cocobolo. She looks a lot like her dad when he was born. Cocobolo now in the breeding program at 2 Point Farm in Kentucky. 2017 - Beautiful girl out of Kahuna's Lexus 2019 SHIP Classification Fleece: Fineness & Uniformity of Color: 5 out of 5 Uniformity of Micron and Fleece Phenotype: 4 out of 5 Density, Lock Structure, Handle: 3.5 out of 5 Luster: 3 out of 5 Conformation: Type, Hind Legs, Head, Frame, Tail, Genitalia: 5 out of 5 Movement/Tracking: 4 out of 5 Front Legs: 3 out of 5

This girl's fiber is nearly identical to her multi-champion sire, AAOA Macgyverson's Peruvian Enrique who's fleece won Champion and Reserve Champion at the Suri Network All Suri Fleece Show in 2008 and 2009 respectively. Check out her outstanding fiber statistics which are very similar to Enrique's. Fine and very uniform in a beautiful lustrous light brown, her fleece is so dense our shearer commented this year that we need to slick shear her legs every year. Following in the steps of her sire, Jupiter took Reserve Champion at 2011 Suri Network Fleece Show. The Judge commented: "What a beautiful fleece - so fine, silky soft & lusterous - throughout!!!" On top of all the wonderful fleece Jupiter is every breeder's dream - with her deep body capacity and solid frame, Jupiter experiences trouble-free deliveries that are reliably on time and she breeds back easily. Coming from maternal lines with exceptional milk production, Jupiter's crias are vigorously healthy and with all that milk they grow like weeds. July 14, 2014 - Jupiter easily delivered her first cria, a healthy light fawn female by Dakini Kokatahee. Dakini Echo is super cute and I couldn't be happier with the result! July 20, 2015 - Jupiter has done it again, this time producing another light fawn female by Accoyo Kaden son, Dakini Aventyr, our incredibly dense 7/8'ths Accoyo herdsire out of multi-champion Accoyo America Sonora. She is another beautiful result from super-mom Jupiter. Aug 21, 2016 - The wait was worth it!! Jupiter delivered a carbon copy of herself by Tempo on Aug 21st. This girl is packed with fleece and a beautiful solid light brown just like her mom. Super dense and blinding luster! Aug 20, 2017 - Jupiter delivered another replica of herself except this time in a male package. This boy looks like a worthy addition to this power-dam's progeny line-up. Aug 31, 2017 - It's a boy by Fiery Cross and he's packed with lustrous brown fleece. He looks just like his mom when she was born. Really happy with how he is developing.

Description

We couldn't be happier with the result of this breeding. A concentration of the best blood lines in our program, Echo is the first cria for both of her young parents and all we can say is - IT WORKED! She's too young for any fleece stats but she is sporting gorgeous luster, beautiful locking and excellent density. Her maternal grandmother is a milking machine and her mother has inherited that trait as well which shows up in Echo's robust growth and vigor. Echo is a member of our 2015 show string and will likely be retained in the Dakini herd but we'll discuss any reasonable offers. Sadly Echo was killed in a domestic dog attack at the farm in the summer of 2015 when she was 11 months old. We will definitely repeat this breeding and try for a sister in the future.
