Service Sire: Invincible's White Satin Knight
1178043<--ari-->White<--color-->Have you ever heard of Snowmass Invincible? Perhaps you have. We are lucky enough to have a very nice male from Invincible. When we first did the breeding we knew that the cria would be white. Being grey breeders we were doing it on a lark to get some different genetics into our herd. We like the girl we bred Invincible to, Princess Leah. When she had him - we thought he looked like a little stuffed animal running around the fields - and if you look at the last picture here - you will see exactly why we thought he looked that way. But the first thing we noticed about him was that he had a funky top knot. and he gained a nickname from that funky top knot. Invincible's White Satin Knight is now a 2 1/2 year old. He took a Reserve Championship in New Jersey in March 2010. The judge said that he had the fleece of a juvie!! He just took a championship at Sepa and prior to that took first place at the MABA show in Maryland in a tough class. Prior to that he took a 4th place at Empire Extravaganza in a huge class, and a 2nd place at Sepa 2008. White Satin Knight has a nice boxy look, great presence, good coverage and exquisite fleece. He has only gotten better with age. And with continuning fineness and that lovely lovely density, we can't wait to see how his crias will do. We are already planning the breedings we will be doing in our herd with this boy!
We will continue to show him through 2010. So since we aren't white breeders, and definitely lean to grey, what are we doing with a white? Well at the moment winning a championship. And we are very happy about that. White Satin is out of Princess Leah who also won a blue. And even though she won in a shorn class - Julio could only talk about her fleece!! We really didnt' know what we were going to get when we bred the two together. And look - we did okay. Thank you Funky White Boy!!!! Go Funky... Go Funky.... Go Funky....

Description
Princess Valorie is ready to add exceptional color to you herd! This true black beauty has given us two true black female crias and comes from a long lineage of true black ancestors. On her sire's side she boasts the dark silver gray of her grandsire 6Peruvian Dom Timbo (currently standing at Magical Farms). Her dam, Patagonia's Lucia, is a also a true black from her true black Sire, Shackleton, a top herdsire at Patagonia Farms.
Valorie was shown at the Southeastern Pennsylvania Alpaca Show & Sale in 2006 and placed 2nd in a competitive class of 11 alpacas! "Valorie is conformationally correct with very soft fleece with consistant crimp throughout."
Valorie is a great mom who births easily and produces lots of milk for her crias. She has a gentle nature that she passes on to to her crias. Her first two crias are by Snowmass Midnight Magic and they are all we had hoped for when we bred her to this elite black herdsire, but we decided to shake things up a bit this time and last season she was bred to Grand Champion Invincible's White Satin Knight aka Funky White Boy and she gave us a stunning fawn girl that may be turning rose gray!! Whimsy's Invincible Knightingale delighted us by taking 2 third place ribbons in both Halter and Fleece at Empire in the very competitive fawn category. That's 3 for 3 for Val and these 3 have some of the softest, finest fiber in our herd.
