We are very excited about the offspring hitting the ground from our full Accoyo beige son of El Nino (Caligula's best son), who had a 16.3 micron fleece at one year! Dr. Norman Evans did a skin biopsy in the fall of 2005, and according to his results, Michelangelo's density is absolutely unmatched (S/P Ratio of 13.28/1 and follicle density an amazing 107 follicles per sq/mm)! One of the softest AND densest fleeces I've ever had the pleasure to touch! Multiple champion and blue ribbon winner in fleece and halter! Michelangelo had confirmed pregnancies at 22 months, and to date has many healthy CHAMPION offspring on the ground (including ROSE GREY, SILVER GREY, medium brown, light fawn, beige and white! His offspring took blues in both juvenile white male AND female classes at AOBA Nationals, and a grey took a blue at the Futurity! Judge Kevin O'Leary commented that a white Michelangelo offspring he judged at AOBA had "the finest fleece he'd had in his ring all day! Herdsire discounts from SSF do not apply to Michelangelo breedings. We will begin booking a few limited outside breedings for 2008.

Gracie is a rare fawn, full Accoyo, with such fine crimpy fiber. Her dam, MFI Peruvian Accoyo Tequila Sunrise, is a Peruvian Leon daughter who has produced some amazing animals. Gracie's 1/2 brother, Accoyo Cuervo Gold, is currently standing stud at Magical Farms, and her 1/2 sister, MY ACCOYO LA VIDA LOCA, was the highest selling female in the 2007 Futurity (57,000.) Gracie's sire, HDF Accoyo Sir Issac, is a majestic medium fawn full Accoyo. He is a Royal Fawn son and Felix grandson He's been biopsy tested and the results were INCREDIBLE! Dr. Evans tested him at age 3 and he had an incredible secondary to primary fiber ratio of 26:1!! His density was an equally impressive 85 follicles per sq mm. These are the traits we are striving for and the reason we were thrilled to add Gracie to our herd. We purchased Quinn's dam with our friend's Michele Armour and Rob Bruce at Rosehaven Alpacas with the hope of producing some beautiful colored full Accoyos and we hit it out of the park with Mighty Accoyo Quinn! We've only shown him twice so far and he's taken a blue each time! His dam is our beautiful fawn, full Accoyo, A@DS Accoyo Amazing Grace. Skin biopsy results by Dr. Norm Evans have revealed his BEST-EVER recorded follicle density for an alpaca at 107 follicles/sq mm and an S/P ratio of 13.28/1! He has a confident, calm personality with great presence and solid structure, topped off by an extremely typey head.
