Sabra's full sister - Skyview Stargazer - was very successful in the show ring, earning 2 Championships! Sabra did not get the chance to equal her sister's show record, but Champions run in this family - Let Sabre produce a couple for you! This lovely black female has been a key producer for Green Vale Alpacas. She has excellent conformation, a good bite and a nice head. Sabra is the kind of alpaca we all like to see grazing in our fields, a good mom - and she has the ability to produce BOTH show ring winners and luxurious fiber. She looks just like her Champion full sister. Her fiber is uniformly crimpy with a wonderfully soft, fine hand. It shines with blue highlights, and even at her age, Sabra has almost no light fibers in her fleece, which is very uncommon for older black alpacas. Owners Hidden Pasture Alpacas of NJ on Sabra's FULL SISTER, Skyeview Stargazer: "How many ways can you say 'WOW!'? Stargazer is a true black beauty that did exceptionally well during her show career. Stargazer is one of our treasures. We fell in love with her at an alpaca show and just couldn't get her off our mind. We eventually purchased her and had a great time in the show ring for the next season. The word to describe Stargazer is stylish. She is a classic huacaya alpaca with a white quality fleece in midnight black. She is sired by Skyeview's Samson, a medium silver grey Bueno line herdsire, and is out of a beige Peruvian import that consistently produced winning offspring. Stargazer's fleece is lovely, with a very soft handle and excellent fineness. She still has a micron of 21.1 at the age of 4 years with a total shear weight of 7.7 pounds in 2008. She is conformationally very correct with a level topline, staight legs, and an elegant stylish huacaya head. $35,000." http://hiddenpasturesalpacas.com/index.php?option=com_adsmanager&page=show_ad&adid=99&catid=17&Itemid=2 At only $1,500, Sabra may be the best bargain you will find in a true BLACK female! Her price is so low only because she is no longer a youngster, but she is vigorously healthy and should produce several wonderful crias for you.

Don't miss your chance to own one of ONLY about a dozen MachuPichu crias in the US. Contact us for details! - female Looking for lasting fineness in grey? Check out MachuPichu's histograms - at 2 years, FIVE years, and SIX years of age!!! How often do you see alpacas of ANY color with fiber stats like this - much less grey?! We are happy to email you copies of Machu Pichu's 2010 and 2011 histograms. At six years of age, MachuPichu's fleece is maintaining brightness, high curvature/crimp, and a degree of DENSITY not often seen with fleece this fine. Plus he is maintaining an exceptional staple length! And Machu Pichu is gorgeous and oh, so typey. Not to mention 'presence'; he KNOWS he is special. The genetic potential of this handsome grey male fascinates us. MachuPichu is a huacaya from two suris, with a soft, bright, but distinctly crimpy huacaya fleece. A number of top huacayas, including 6 TIME Champion Lazy's Phoenix, 9 TIME Champion AL Pacas Simba, and Kelly Zanella's Spa Alpaca's Mazet (2nd at the Futurity!), have suri heritage. Some breeders seek out huacayas from suris for their breeding programs. Here is your chance to breed to an especially good one - in gorgeous grey!

Description

Did you SEE her sire's show record below?! The judges awarded him a Champion or Reserve Champion banner 4 times - including a Reserve Champion at the Futurity!!! Her sire is a 4 time Champion. Her dam is a full sister to a 2 time Champion. Stella should have had her chance in the show ring! Let her produce Champion quality crias for YOU. Look at her photo. You can see what a sweet and beautiful alpaca Stella is. Her fiber is soft, bright and dense. Her quality and excellent pedigree tell you that she will produce quality crias when bred to the sire of your choice. A breeding to our own silver grey Blue Ribbon winner can be included at no extra charge! Fleece: We are working on getting fleece samples together to send out. In the meantime, we posted a copy of Pendleton's histogram to give you an idea of the quality of fiber you can expect from Stella. Pedigree: Maple Brook Pendleton is a 4 time Champion, including Reserve Champion at the All-America Futurity! Everyone knows the Futurity is perhaps the toughest and most prestigious show anywhere. Pendleton's sire is the great Royal Fawn, one of the most influential sires in America with countless Champion offspring. Pendleton's dam is Linda, one of Maple Brook's treasured females that has produced wonderful crias, including several award winners. Linda's sire is the famous PPeruvian Felix, one of the most successful of the sires imported to the US from the Estancia Accoyo. The QUALITY in this pedigree just keeps going! If you have viewed our listings, you already know that Stella's dam - Skyeview Sabra - is the founder of one of our main female families here at Green Vale. Bred by Jim & Sue King of Skyeview in NH, Sabra combines the genes of Maple Brook El Dorado (full brother to MFI Jericho's sire!) with some of the most highly regarded Chilean lines of the day, and the fine-fleeced Peruvian import female, CPeruvian Alexis. Imported from the Anacalla herd of the Rural Alianza, Alexis received an overall Rating at the pre-importation screening of 9 our of 10 possible points! Her fiber test at 1 yr: AFD-21.2 SD-4.3 CV-20.3 %>30-4.1 Color: Both experienced breeders and experts have noticed that alpacas with the 'shaded fawn' color pattern Stella exhibits - darker along the topline and shading to white underneath - often produce the full range of alpaca colors, especially GREY. Both Dr. Andy Merriwether, geneticist and alpaca breeder, and Dr. Neil Padgett, a top breeder of grey alpacas for over ten years, have noticed that alpacas colored like Stella tend to produce grey when bred to grey. Color and GREY breeders won't want to miss this one! We are downsizing our herd, so feel free to make an offer. Stella is too nice to just sit in our pasture.
