Is he Dark Brown or is he Dark Rose Gray???
So far, that question has been asked but not answered. During color check-in at shows, the question has come up time and again, but he has always been placed in Dark Brown Classes. There is a lot of DRG throughout his neck, upper shoulders and back, so we plan to bred him to Silver Gray, it may produce Rose Gray........we'll see what happens.
Domingo is the son of Magical Farm's CPeruvian Silvio (Medium Silver Gray, sire of many champions)) and MFI Peruvian Dalia (Bay Black).
Domingo has very solid bone structure, excellent conformation, perfect bite, very fine, dense fiber with frequent crimp and a very gentle relaxed personality. He is registered as Dark Brown, but he is Dark Rose Gray on neck and down the back.
With this color background, we expect Domingo to produce a wide variety of colored cria. He will be bred to Gray, Fawn and Black and White females at our farm this fall......

Reba’s 2nd cria, El Camino Reál, was born October 10, 2005 a Medium Brown/Dark Rose Gray male @ 20.2 lbs.
Reba will be rebred to Dalia’s Domingo for a late Fall 2006 cria.

El C's first cria is a MSG female....Phoebe Rose...OUTSTANDING!!
El Camino Real has done it again! 1st. Place at MAPACA, April 27, 2007. The judge was very impressed, spoke of this 'up and coming' Herdsire and how exquisite he is, outstanding consistency in density, crimp, fineness, handle and structure of fiber, solid bone, gorgeous head, perfect bite and just an overall fantastic package.
His name is El Camino Reál (Spanish for 'The Kings Highway'), he is a strong healthy Bay Black boy. He is the son of Dalia's Domingo (Magical Farm's Silvio son) and Reba (Mister Limerick Daughter). With a birth weight of 20.2 lbs., El Camino Reál has hit the open highway (pasture) running.
He was shorn at Nationals and the shearer said El Camino Real had the best dark fleece he had seen in a very long time. (Picture of fiber, bottom right)We are awaiting Fiber stats and will post ASAP!
His fiber is super fine with amazing, uniform crimp and great staple length as well as nice bundling and extreme density. He is very correct in conformation, with the proud stance like his sire, Domingo and his grand-sire MFI Silvio. With his color genetics and heritage, we look forward to a bright future for El Camino Real.
El Camino Real's first cria was born on October 1, 2008, a gorgeous DRG girl (Phoebe Rose) with Snowmass Casanova as her maternal grand-sire.
