Lightning and Thunder is a prime example of the mix of national origins. He has strength and character of Lustrous locks from his Peruvian forebears and amazing color and Fineness from the Chilean and Bolivian. He placed first in his first time out and has amazing presence when he was a seven-month-old. When he was first born we thought he was fawn, but very soon the silver lining appeared, to our joy. The grey might have been expected, as he has true black on both sides of his pedigree as well as both white and fawn. He echoes the grey freckles of his dam. Thunder has remarkable lock definition and density, a gift from his sire, Coming Tornado. Lightning and Thunder's first few cria have been Excellent and GREY :) as well. This young Herdsire is on his way to becoming a big Grey Super Star in time...

Uptowne is a gorgeous 1/2 peruvian lady. She comes from two champion alpacas and has produced several superb cria. In Feb. 2008 Uptown had "Uppity" dark brown high luster/lock female... Her sire is Aurora's Borealis, who took 1st place for his fiber at AOBA and while there won Judges Choice over ALL fiber! That alone is just a taste of the quailty of fiber Uptowne exhibits. Borealis also took first at Fiberfest and the Estes Park Wool market. He is an amazing stud residing at Mystic Springs. Joker comes from two outstanding parents. His Sire was the Get of Sire winner at AOBA's National Show. Joker is an elegant, graceful, and eager little guy with quite a regal appearance when not acting like an awkward teenager. He is still growing. Joker's tight locks are very dark and lustrous.
