Leon was born at the Accoyo Ranch, home of Don Julio Barreda. His ancestors have been rigorously selected since 1946. Peruvian Leon is a striking dark fawn color of perfect uniformity and is famed at being the darkest Accoyo ever imported. His fleece measured 19.9 microns at three years of age. His head is perfectly balanced and his proud presence is breathtaking. Leon has produced a black 3/4 Accoyo out of a white Felix daughter.
His Daughter Morgan sold for $100,000 at the 2006 AOBA National Conference. You will see Accoyo Leon on some of this countries finest Alpaca Pedigrees. He truly is one amazing Accoyo known for his color throwing abilities.
