The Last Don is a strong boned and very densely fleeced white male.An import straight from Don Julio’s Ranch in Peru, he is one of the few top championship and blue ribbon producing Accoyo males out there today. He’s great at producing top fleeces in all colors and a signature full topknot!
The Don was rated the highest possible score of A PERFECT TEN at importation!<--description-->
Dam: 6Peruvian Greta 6248 IMPR 98
1351828<--ari-->Medium Fawn<--color-->Full Peruvian. Greta was a hand ked dam out of the 6th Peruvian Import from farm Cambria and resided at Wild Acres Ranch in Port Clinton for several years until her recent sale. Her fleece is mixed up with Tallulah's come shearing time.
Out of 10, hers was a very highly rated 8!
Her import fleece stats were as follows:
AFD 25, SD 4.5, CV 18, %>30 18<--description-->
Service Sire: Peruvian Master Musician
1351828<--ari-->Light Fawn<--color-->All the right genetics to improve your dam with Royal Peruvian Apollo as his sire and SA Peruvian Grand Exotica as a Dam . This equates to Accoyo Royal Fawn (great bone and conformation with lasting fineness) on the sire side and Accoyo Grand Master (puts the extra fineness, crimp and staple length into the fleece!) on the dam side. Musician's fleece is uniform, dense, fine, and crimpy! His conformation is outstanding.<--description-->
Description
Tallulah was purchased shorn. She had an excellent bonnet and nice crimp in her tail with very soft 1/2 inch staple length. Her conformation was correct and typey.
Her first female cria is get of Full Accoyo "Frisco" (a multi) for a 3/4 accoyo pattern cria, Ariella, with a solid fawn blanket. Very Flashy girl with good growth. Ariella is full and crimpy with a very dense fleece!
Tallulah had her Frisco baby Sunday, July 19th and it is THE FIRST GIRL born at Imaginary since start-up in 2006, our 11th cria to date!! This little girl weighed in at 12 lbs and was up and nursing in 7 hours. Today she tried to jump over her kushed mom and only missed by one hind leg, so she is feeling pretty good! She has fawn color with a flashy white neck and head, freckles and a patch on the face. Her coat is fluffing up nicely, too, and very fine. Ariella is all grown up and ready to be bred now. She had an impacted tooth last year and after the vet drilled it out, it has healed giving her an off center look. But she was genetically correct until the drilling. That would be The Last Don and Felix and Leon Accoyo lines for this 3/4 ACCOYO little GIRL. Felix and Leon are both known for their density and lasting fineness! Frisco is one of the densest alpacas I have seen in full fleece!
In 2009, Tallulah was bred to Musician Master, a Royal Fawn/Grand Master Light Fawn herdsire standing stud at Lofty Pine in Lindsey, OH for a 2010 cria. Desert Song was born on 9/16/2010, found out in the pastures with a very attentive herd and an easy birth. She is Light Fawn with the white underneath typical and the pair went to Canterbury Alpaca's until Desert Song was weaned as Song's new owner wanted her that bad! Tallulah's fleece is still soft to the hand, ranging in the most demanded mill grades of 3 & 4. I have picked it clean and will hand spin it. If you are interested fleece samples are still available. Tallulah is available for sale.
While off the farm, she developed a jaw infection due to a pulled baby tooth there and this condition continues to compromise her weight. She will not be bred again until the recurring infection is fully controlled.
Tallulah has had all female crias to date and I suspect her CV is awesome because hers is the first fleece I get 'into' every year. The handle is just buttery soft and her homespun yarn is delightful.
