The Khantender Optimo is loaded with crimp from head to toe. He has crimp between his ears, on his tail, neck, and even down to his knees on all legs, where the quality of the fleece only then begins to wane. He has a bright and shiny fleece that will light a twinkle in your eye. He has a superb balance of fineness and density. He is a cross between the lines of Caligula and Shere Khan. Great sires in his background such as: Caligula, Vengador, Oro, El Senor, Allin Capac, and The Aga Khan. His dam is a half sibling to Simba of A.L.Pacas. The Aga Khan, a White Halter 11-Time Color Champion, represents the concentrated genetics of the truly legendary Shere Khan through two American male offspring - Vengador and Allin Capac 6004. Some comments about Khantender attributed to Jude Anderson, Judge at PAOBA 2006..."excellent package of fineness and correctness coupled with conformation"...."well covered"..."dense from head to toe".. Khantender has a medium brown spot on the left side of his blanket, just under 3 inches in diameter, which we refer to as his little 'humble spot'. Although keeping him from winning higher achievments in the showring in a white class, his colored class, he has been throwing color the majority of the time. As of July 2010, he has thrown (1) Light Fawn cria, (4) Med/Dark Fawn crias, (1) Medium Brown cria, (1) Dark Brown cria, (3) White crias, and (2) Brown/White Multicolored crias. We are looking for special 1/2 interest partners to share this male. Khantender's crias are beginning to take ribbons in the shows. See offspring ribbons below. FLEECE: 2006 - AFD:18.8, SD:4.7, CV:24.8, %>30:1.6, CF:98.4% @ 7 mon 2007 - For this sample I grabbed a sample from the shear bag. Shear Weight (some skirting): 8.3 LBS $900 BREEDING FEE

Mirella Freni

HuacayaOpen (Female)White
AOA# 31150989DOB: 10/31/200717 yrs
Mirella represents the following bloodlines: El Nino (Caligula/Sunipani), Victor 4563, Royal Fawn 6014, Cordero 6002, and Pluro 4571. Her fleece is bright, bundled, consistent, and exhibits very nice density and coverage with uniformity. We look forward to what she can produce each and every year. Mirella was only shown once and she can hold her own; at her first and only show she nearly acquired 2nd Place in her large White Halter class at VAOBA 2008. Mirella's female offspring, Babette, is a light fawn with dark recessives by The Khantender Optimo. Mirella had a drive-by breeding to Heather's Acre Accoyo Hero (an Accoyo Franciso son) for a 2011 cria but it did not take, but we look forward to breeding this combination in the future. MORE ON THE FUTURE SERVICE SIRE: Hero has an awesome fleece; asthetically pleasing style, fine, and dense. He is a total package. Skin biopsy results per Dr. Norm Evans skin biopsy results: Density: 85.5 follicles/sqmm and Secondary/Primary ratio: 15.5/1. Secondary fibers average 16.3 microns and Primary fibers average 22.7 microns. The full Accoyo males in Hero's pedigree include Caligula, El Nino, Vengador, Accoyo Alexander and Accoyo The Last Don. Just as important are the females - Sunipani, Astillero, Pucara, Accoyo Candy, Accoyo Starburst and his blue ribbon mom, Miss Peruvian Accoyo Morning Star. Hero is owned by Safehouse Farm Alpacas and Blue Spruce Alpacas. So the plan will be a breeding to Heather's Acres Accoyo Hero or LAAF Sparticus if we are unable to fit the long drive to Chicago, Illinois into our busy schedule.

Description

The fleece on this little gal is great! Her fleece exhibits nice little crimped bundles. Her fleece is uniformly well crimped and bundled thoughout her body, down the limbs, and up under the belly a ways. The fleece is very similar to Khantender's fleece as a cria. She is definitely show quality. Her sire, Khantender, passed on his phenotypical traits, including the extreme typey well-covered head. We couldn't be more thrilled! This girl has many greats in her background: Vengador, Caligula X2 (Best Ala Best and El Nino), Oro, Victor, Royal Fawn, Pluro, and Cordero! WOW. Babette is currently exposed to LAAF Spartacus (Vic Jr's Hemiaccoyo Paladin X LA Balamani) for a 2017 cria.
