Opie has come to our herd through some friends of ours who are dispersing their alpaca herd. This is one beautiful rose grey male with awesome conformation and incredibly soft fiber. I plan to take a clipping and have a histogram done. His fineness is better than his crimp, which is there, but very fine and crinkly. His dam is true black, with Camelot as her grandsire and Opie's sire is a medium rose grey sired by Snowmass Casanova, with Royal fawn on his dam's side. Quite an impressive pedigree. He has bred a couple of females this fall, but we have no confirmation of pregnancy as of yet.

Dulci is a big bold beautiful girl with loads of crimpy light fawn fiber. Her sire is the full Accoyo Don Quijote who is a multiple award winner and her dam has bloodlines from Victor, another well-known Accoyo herdsire. Dulci is the grand-daughter of one of our very first alpacas here at Straightfork, Chiquita Margarita, who produced a cria for us every single year for 12 years. Production records don't get much better than that. Dulci delivered her first cria, a beautiful little brown female, on May 23rd 2014. She is an excellent mother with lots of milk. This cria is simply beautiful, healthy and strong with very fine fiber. She is a joy to watch playing with her pasturemate.

Description

Jubilee is a beautiful red color with white markings on her head, chin and legs. Her cria fleece is long, bright and crimpy. I said bright, right? Her sire is a lovely rose grey and her dam is a light fawn. Both have very good fiber and excellent conformation. This little one will definitely add color to your herd and do it with class.
