An oldy, but a goody he is, with Magnum Gold as his sire. His show record speaks for himself. Grandsire 4Peruvian Altiplano Gold 6026 both with Champion Genetics that has been passed on down the line to Jim Dandy!! Jim is a well balanced male, straight lines, he's a large boy built like a brick house, beautiful head with strong features(very impressive) At age 7 he still maintains nice character tight and fine crimp throughout his fleece, as well as a micron upholding 23.9 with density that is much sought after in the show ring. His temperment is that of the friendliest I have seen. The minute he stepped off the trailer he wanted attention yet he has let the others know he remains the Alpha Male. Unfortunately he has only one cria down only because that is how it has worked out for him. He has several breedings purchased just not used yet.Heaven's Hill Peruvian Rafael (Show Quality winning 2- 2nd place and 1 4th out of 7) is Jim's first and only cria. We are told he came out with bundles like never seen before. He has started breeding here at IPA on our last two females of the season. He can add incredible offspring to your herd. She is intelligent, has beautiful, correct conformation, a stylish head and fleece that is exceptional for a black. Her fleece was an incredible staple length of almost 5 inches, but as is often the case once they start breeding, has shortened up a bit. But she still has a nice, bold crimp style that separates into bundles and throws beautiful babies. Her fleece is pure true black with no off colors, and it is a very bright, jet black. After she's shorn, she just glistens in the sunlight! Her dam had a 17 micron in black! She has produced 3 beautiful cria, one which has only been shown in one show and got a blue ribbon. She throws cria with superb conformation and that beautiful head style we all love. She is a very good mom with plenty of milk for her cria and has a great attitude and temperament, which she also tends to pass on to her cria. She always carries herself proud and is the alpaca everyone admires when they come for a farm visit. Her personality is laid back and she is just a real sweetheart and has a delightful personality. She seems to pass along nice, even tempered, sweet natures to her cria, which is a trait we like to breed for. Arwen is a very special girl and we feel she has the quality of what they call a 'stud dam,' where she produces consistent quality. Her conformation is excellent and both her cria have exhibited that same, spot-on conformation as well. This true black female is a real beauty and has impacted our breeding program immensely. She will do the same for you! If she has any faults, I would say she is not as dense as I'd like to see, but she is almost flawless everywhere else and produces beautiful alpacas. A real winner in a true black!
