HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Beige
AOA# 31139106DOB: 5/13/200717 yrs
Snowmass Royal Destiny is the son of Snowmass Matrix: 2009 Champion Dark Herdsire of the year, 2009 Reserve Champion White/Light Herdsire of the year and 2009 Huacaya Get of Sire. Snowmass Royal Destiny XX is the second elite male that we have added to the Lake Effect Breeders group. Sire: Snowmass Matrix Dam: Snowmass Royal Lineage Paternal grandsires: Snowmass Quechua & Legacy Maternal grandsire: Snowmass XXXtreme Great grandsires: Bueno and Hemingway His stats are amazing: AFD at 12 months: 14.2; SD 2.9; CV 20.4; Curve 52.3, Follow his lineage and you'll see it in every generation. Not only is this a rare breeding age Matrix male, but you won't find many pairings of the Matrix/Quechua line with XXXtreme so this is a rare opportunity to improve your herd in all colors. Unfortunately Legacy, Hemingway, Quechua and Cahuide have recently passed away so these elite genes are becoming even harder to come by. The market value that this ancestry has publicly sold for is in the millions. THE FUTURITY AND NATIONALS RESULTS OVER PAST YEARS SHOULD REVEAL HIS POTENTIAL: 2005: Futurity - Light champion is El Nino. Reserve champion is Legacy. Nationals - Quechua's fleece takes 2nd in fleece competition. 2006: Futurity - Light champion is Snowmass Quechua. Reserve champion is El Nino. Dark champion is Snowmass XXXtreme Snowmass Quechua wins Get of Sire, Legacy is second. 2007: Light champion is Snowmass Quechua. Reserve champion is Legacy. Dark champion is Snowmass XXXtreme 2008: Snowmass Matrix wins Futurity Reserve Champion in both light and dark categories. At 55 months old Matrix wins Nationals! FINENESS INTO MATURITY; DENSITY; IDEAL CONFORMATION. We proudly share ownership of this outstanding male with Safehouse Alpacas.

Description

Paladin’s birth weight was 13.6 pounds. At 8 months, 89 pounds. He is 7/8 Peruvian 3/8 Alianzan 1/2 Accoyo 1/8 Chilean and is True Black. His ARI# is 32384369 His sire is Snowmass Destiny, a Snowmass Matrix son – and Matrix, to my knowledge and according to ARI has only produced 2 True Black sons – so black is rare for this line. Destiny is beige, has taken ribbons at Nationals and both Color and Reserve at other shows. At 5 his fleece is still fine. His 2012 histogram shows Destiny at AFD 22, SD 3.97 and CV 18.6. Comfort Factor is 97. Paladin has ½ of his genes. Paladin's dam is an Accoyo Express grand daughter out of Accoyo Expressions. While she has a beautiful conformation, is loaded with color and very vital, her fiber has blown out (typical of some Accoyos). I bred Destiny to ‘Tina’ expecting grey or black and hoping for Destiny’s density and fineness. We got the great conformation (no issues anywhere) – he’s a regal looking boy and true black and feels soft to the touch. His AFD is 19, SD 5.5, CV 29 and CF 97. While Destiny's crias seem to mature late and it’s hard to tell much until the second shearing, the SD seems high for me. We’ve had the crias out of the female line of Paladin’s dam turn grey at about 18 months. The Luciano line (from Derwydd) gave us nothing but grey or black ribbon winners. And, long fiber. Paladin sheared 3.8 pounds total and 2.2 pounds of blanket. (105 staple length) and at 5 months old. He’s a big boy. Right now Paladin is true black and I see no white fibers. I have 4 champion herdsires and no room for a black boy. I have him priced low since someone would be taking a chance on purchasing an 8 month old boy. His plusses are his bloodlines, his color, his fast growing fiber, his conformation and vitality. What’s unknown is where his fiber will go. If he turns out to be infertile, we will certainly give you your money back and give you breedings to one of our other boys. –
