Silver Shadow’s Zion is a beautiful Medium Rose Grey suri male just beginning his herdsire career. He has two generations of gray on his sire’s side and the rose comes from his dam’s brown genetics. Together they have created what is sure to be a winning hersire for a grey herd on the rise. Strong luster, solid lock, great size (212Lbs) and confirmation are only a few of his attributes. With crias on the ground he has proven to pass on his gray genetics. Silver Shadow’s boys have been doing well in the showring. Talk about passing on traits. As of 11/1/10 Zion has recorded 5 cria on the the ground. THREE ARE ROSE GREY. The mares were rose grey, beige, and dark brown. Of the thriee crias born this fall two are tuxedo, one female that is medium rose grey (Fem Fatale) and a light rose grey male (Segovia). SOLD - We were all a little concerned about the birth. Leilani was a little on the small side and this was her first cria. Mom seemed very confused when the process started, going around and around to try to see what was happening. Mochi! Mochi! was born without incident and with only a little bit of help. She weighted in at only 10.1 pounds. The smallest cria we had ever seen delivered alive. Within 10 minutes she was fighting to get to her feet and took her first wobbly steps within thirty minutes. From the first day she didn’t know she was small. One of the “wiggliest” little crias we’ve ever had. Thirty days later she’s a healthily 17 pounds and had no idea that she was ever that small. Mocha! has one of the most beautiful medium brown coats that just sparkles in the sun. The luster is amazing. Strong confirmation and great lock in her coat will make her a winner for many years to come. With Rose Grey on both sides she would be a great candidate for a grey sire to bring out the grey in her background. Her sire, Rose Grey Silver Shadow’s Zion, is a big boy at 220 pounds so we suspect Mocha! will grow up to be bigger than her mother. Her mother’s sire was Rose Grey OTN Baranoff so the rich consistent mocha color and strong tight locks shows through the generic heritage.
