Rockford is a prepotent herdsire of national renown. He is an eyecatching half-Accoyo silver grey with excellent conformation, substantial bone and an exceptional fleece -- dense, crimpy and fine, with defined lock structure and sheen. He has a very beautiful head, proud presence, and a wonderful temperament.
He has passed his remarkable phenotype on to most of his youngsters, and many have gone on to become Champions and ribbon winners in their own right. So far in the year 2004, at AOBA Nationals, Alpaca Affaire Northwest, MaPaca, AWE and Alpacapalooza his youngsters have had the distinction of winning 5 Championships, 1 Reserve Championship, 10 Firsts, 4 Seconds and 3 Third Places (and maybe more that we don't know about!).

Description
Silver Grey Champion Herdsire with ribbon winning cria on the ground!
Top quality fleece on a conformationally correct frame. You can’t get more basic than that, but what makes Salutation stand out?
His Fleece: Beautiful light silver grey fleece with no spots on the blanket, consistent high frequency crimp, good coverage with character from top knot to tail, and a brightness and handle that has impressed judges and breeders alike.
His Pedigree: His Sire has produced numerous champions and his Dam was an outstanding production female (good mother, lots of milk, healthy cria) with champions of her own.
His Conformation: Good bone, well proportioned, a beautiful head, and that regal presence we all like to see in a Macho. He is well mannered and breeds easily. Most pregnancies have been one-time breedings.
His Show Record: 3 Color championships, under 3 different top AOBA judges, in full fleece or composite classes…all as a yearling and all against outstanding competition. Add to this another 1st place finish in a large composite show – we have been blessed.
His Cria: His cria are healthy and vigorous. Many are exhibiting the same style and consistency of crimp that Salutation has. A variety of colors--grey (including a silver grey out of a brown dam!), black, fawn, & a couple brown (with grey).
His Owners: We strive to provide the best in small farm care and service. Your dam and cria receive excellent personal care and attention. Breedings are supervised, we have a 30 day live birth guarantee, and we offer discounts for multiple and drive-by breedings. We care about our customers and want you to be happy with your decision to do business with us.
Don’t just take our word for it. We have prime examples of Salutation’s progeny (and more on the way) for you to see in person. Call or e-mail to schedule a visit or request more info.
