Hemingway's Tequila is the offspring of a superior dam, Peruvian Ayabaca, and the famous Peruvian Hemingway. He represents all the phenotypic expressions of those elite genetics that you would expect. He is alert, displays Constitutional vigor, is well-proportioned, has good bone, and finishes off the package with cover to the grass and a beautiful head. But you must add his super fine fiber to the equation, which tested 15.8 microns at 12 months and 16.9 microns at 24 months! This fleece is spectacular. It is organized into tight, bundled staples that are blessed with high Frequency crimp. Alpaca fleece like Tequila's is worshipped worldwide in famous fashion houses for its superior softness and handle. Including Tequila, Hemingway has produced many Cornerstone Elite Herdsires including: Snowmass Royal Rose, PCA Hemingway-Accoyo Nautilus, Mister Antonio, and many Studmaster Males. Tequila is passing his exceptional traits down to his progeny. To date Tequila has produced offspring that have won over 60 Color Champ, Reserve, or First Ribbons in the show ring! Tequila has also produced many working Herdsires: Tequila Sunrise, Tequila’s Victor Light, MSA Cuervo Gold and Newaukum Creek's Pere Ubu to name a few.

Description

LLC, as she is called, is a daughter of the great Hemingway's Tequila and a Studmaster Escalade daughter. Tequila needs no introduction - he is one of Hemingway's best sons. Escalade is the son of Accoyo White Gold, and also has Augusto and Dracula in his pedigree. But to me the most "cool" thing about LLC's pedigree is that I own her great great grandmother, Cinnamon Candi. So I believe she is the epitome of "breeding up". Cinnamon is big, llama looking girl with fairly soft fiber, but not alot of it. And not very fine. But she is a heck of a mom - although retired now, she always bred, birthed and cared for her cria without any help from me. Her daughter and granddaughter were bred to a couple high caliber Bolivian males, and then a great grand daughter was bred to Escalade. It is easy to see the fiber quality improve with each generation. I have LLC's fiber ready for sorting. LLC will have a date with my newest male, Impacts Kevlar, a son of MFI Peruvian Impact later this year or next spring. Impact has produced some incredible animals with lasting fineness. His 10 year shearing was better than that of many much younger males, and I think his son Kevlar will follow in his father, brothers and sisters footsteps.
